Heh, that's the thing with Apple products, they just "keep going and going" without getting upgrades. In turn, their profit margins "keep going and going" higher and higher.
It's unfortunate that they are neglecting hardwares as Tim Cook is more of executioner than visionary.

The bezels will be reduced so you'll get a bigger screen in a smaller package. Apple isn't making a new SE because it's unnecessary once the next iPhone comes out.

It's really depressing looking at the Buyer's Guide (first world problems I know). Even the 12" iPad Pro and mini only got price/storage adjustments when they should have received some sort of update. Though it's possible the iPads will see an update at a Spring event.

I really do wonder how long it'll be till the Mac Pro and Mac mini will actually receive an update. I mean they have to update them eventually, unless they go the way of the Thunderbolt Display. But as the article said...profit margins.

Well until then, at least we have dongles to talk about...

Apple needs to do what is right across the line...

A flagship iPhone with flagship features spread over three different screen sizes.

I really don't understand why this is so difficult to comprehend.
That doesn't benefit the shareholders. Apple has become a juggernaut under Tim but I think consumers are starting to get hurt by their success.

If Apple does not refresh the iPhone SE, then releasing a 4-inch flagship iPhone in September would be a logical decision. However, the CEO of Apple is Tim Cook, a man who is allergic to making logical decisions.
We are talking about Apple.
There is no way Apple would release a budget 4 inch phone along side their new 10 year anniversary iPhone release. They will plan on maximizing the high profit margins of their state of the art flagship iPhone.
I could easily see Apple running the SE iPhone two years before updating the guts. Updating their "budget" iPhone yearly would cut into their profit margin too much. Also, my prediction, when updated it will come with a headphone jack and those who won't buy a phone w/o the 3.5 mm jack will flock to the phone and Apple will be able to feign surprise at the great sales of the updated SE.
You heard it here first.

Random thought, but it's interesting that the SE has very similar internals as the 6s, but it still has a headphone jack with 27% less area inside. One of their excuses for removing it on the iPhone 7 was that they needed the space, but they were somehow able to keep it on a smaller SE.
I guess the SE designers exercised "Common Sense" rather than "Courage".

I haven't checked but I'm guessing, no "Stereo" speakers on the SE, which will come as a shock to people with 4" wide heads (of course, everything comes as a shock to people with 4" wide heads).

Thank heavens for that. I have already betrothed my SE and Series 2 to my son when I upgrade, and I don't want to have to buy replacements before March 2018.

I keep mine in a case and every time I see the SE at a shop or on the store app I am struck by its beauty all over again. I am equally struck by how bad the phablets look every time I see them. I honestly have to double take that they are iPhones.

According to ming's latest "rumors," I would say another 2-3 years.

I just came from 9to5mac. com to read some comments. I found one comment interesting. This person was talking about how, we as tech lover, are not apple's intended target. The real intended target are those who barely know anything about OS X/Mac sierra. As I was thinking about this: how the f*** does having all does dongles and iPhone that can't hook up to "MacBook amateur 2016" help new comers other than making UI easier for them? To me: Apple is doing some predatory s*** among those new people by selling extra stuff like dongles and increasing price. If that's their main core mission, Apple will have a rude awakening in the future.

Ah, the iPhone SE design… back before the joys of the protruding camera:

Yes, easy for us to understand but if Apple can squeeze customers into two sizes they can maximize profits.
And Tim is all about maximizing profits.
He thinks he is providing a good balance in product selection. However, many of us strongly disagree.

Got my SE just a couple of weeks ago, and my girlfriend got a 6s today. Both great phones that will *definitely* last longer than a couple of years. Poor MacRumours spreading such nonsense.

Yah, quit spreading that silliness. Anyone that doesn't put a case on is asking for heartbreak.
