After the dust settled and I calmed down , I started to realized that it matters little to me. I think its only measuring my stairs climbed. It may have other benefits for my hiking, but I don't use any health apps when I go out hiking, i.e., I do hiking to enjoy nature.
What are your favorite hiking spots? We are semi new to the area and like to hear from locals.

I love hiking the white Mountains region of New Hampshire. I'll be doing that this weekend. Mount Monadnock is a nice hike and closer to Boston, so its easier to get too.
My Black SE is preparing for despatch answer was only ordered yesterday evening. Hopefully should be here before the 12th now as I am off hiking the Camino De Santiago from Southern France down into Spain and want the smaller handset to carry instead of my phablets :)

I usually keep my phone in my backpack - I'm usually concerned about it coming out of my hiking pants or getting whacked by a rock as I climb up rock faces and/or getting through the brush at times.

Given the weather forecast, I'll definitely have a backpack with me this weekend.

It seems like my cell reception is a little weaker with the SE compared to my 6S at my office. Shouldn't the only difference be in speed, theoretically?

Someone offered me a 64gb 6S with case and applecare till 2017 for $600 is this a good deal?

I'd actually buy that more than the idea that Apple should have shoved in more features on top of what it already has. I'm actually fine with criticism of what Apple should or shouldn't have included in a device, it's the sweeping statements that 'this isn't what Jobs would have done!' and 'Apple is doomed!' that irritate me.

I rather admire what I see of Cook's leadership so far. I'm all for criticism of Apple when it's due, but you're going to need to come up with more than "The watch sucks" and "Cook is stupid" to convince anyone. There have been Apple doomsday predictions since the day Jobs died. And the company keeps turning record profits and releasing hit products. Tell me something new. With evidence preferably. Otherwise it's just opinion or speculation.

Also, quit saying what Jobs would or wouldn't do as if you know. He's dead. Nobody knows. Not even you.

Now to get back on topic: it looks like the SE is one badass phone. The more reviews/articles/videos I see the more I want one. That 3D Touch on my 6S though.....

-sigh- I think some of you just don't understand. It's probably a complete waste of my time to continue to argue with some of you who clearly don't know what's going on.

I'll give you an example. Those of you who are followers of Apple and Jobs would know this...

Would Jobs in a million years ever be distracted by this kind of vanity crap??!
Do you think if he were alive that he would allow this to happen?

I still remember Jobs and other senior management talking about focus. Just how focused is Cook when he has time for such vanity projects? I guess focus is just BS when the person who actually enforces it at the company dies?

Also, I'm not the one who's saying that the watch sucks, the market said so. Apple is so embarrassed by the low numbers that to this day they still refuses to disclose how many they've sold. Do you remember how people made fun of the iPad before it was released? People made fun of then name, the functionality (just a giant iPod touch), etc. Well how did the numbers look after release? It was a hockey stick. And they proudly released how many millions they sold. Do you hear that about the Watch? You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to deduce that the Watch is a failure by Apple's standards.

Again, a large company doesn't just die in a couple of years. It usually takes decades. It took Sculley a long time to drive Apple into the ground as well. In the meantime, the numbers look great, except when it doesn't.

I have the 6s and am definitely going with the SE.
  • One-handed design
  • Incredible battery life
  • Beautiful 5s design (with no ugly camera bulge!)
  • Great value price
  • No curved screen nonsense so edge to edge protectors work perfectly
I second this, switched from 6S plus to SE.

I spent some time with the SE yesterday as I'm one of those people that really like the smaller size. I'm tempted to switch but a couple of things have put me in a wait and see mode. 1. The missing MIMO from SE really makes a huge difference in how quickly web pages load. 2. the smaller screen really hurts the web surfing. The pages are really small, even when you use landscape, the pages becomes too short...

If you're heaving on mobile web browsing it's hard to recommend going with the SE.

For me, I just wanted a lightning fast, super small, iOS device that can do everything on the go in a pinch with great camera & Apply Pay.

SE hits the mark perfectly and I can tolerate the web experience on it when I need to in short spurts to get something done real quick.

i concur with these statements. if you're doing a lot of web browsing then it would be best to stick with a +.

The SE really would put use to apps where traditional webpages are shown.

I use my phone for calls, texting, emails, taking photos, Apple Pay, music and bluetooth hook up to my car. I don't use it for web browsing, game playing and movie watching so the SE makes perfect sense. I traded my larger iPhone for this clever little phone and I couldn't be happier.

I really don't find myself immersing in the web through my iPhone... That's what my iPad is for. Safari on a 4 inch iPhone for me is mostly an on-the-go, if-I-need-it kind of option.

For me, SE + Air 2 = Perfect combination.

I agree with what you posted. But I'm not sure what that has to do with whether the SE is a good fit for you.
