iPhone UK - Sitting at home waiting for delivery

YEAAAAAH...Just checked with DHL and mine is waiting for me at home!!! Half day for me!!!!!!!!!
 
Those of you who've had your iPhones delivered ... are you able to make calls yet? It is showing as connected to O2?

I've had mine since 8:10 but am still getting No Service. :(
 
Gah! It's nearly 2pm and it's still not here yet....I've spent the day standing up and sitting down - at least on the plus side I can miss out the gym tonight.

So anyone else still waiting then?

When I got my first iPhone it took a good 24 hours for mine to start working!

So while you're waiting are you able to put your SIM back in your old iphone? Can't really be without a phone for 24 hours as we have an implementation tomorrow morning!!!

Yup... if you get it through the mail as an upgrade, they tell you to switch your SIM over.

Yes but I'm an upgrade using my old SIM (as above) so guess the borked O2 systems didn't have to recognise the new SIM

Yep, I just activate it through itunes and your done.
 
I've giving up hope. I know it's only 2pm but it feels like I've been waiting hours.....oh.

By the time it arrives, I'll be too tired/drunk to notice.
 
I got it :D ordered the 16gb yesterday morning from cpw. Just had to put the sim in and everything seems to be working. I don't know how long it take for them to change my number over, anyone got any idea?
 
Well, the driver reckons he will be with me before 3pm.....54 mins to go.

Just get this feeling that he will be alot longer.
 
1st impressions are that it's very cool. Wasn't quite expecting EVERYTHING to be restored from my other iPhone so it's a bit strange trying to navigate a new phone that has all my old web shortcuts on the homescreen as well as the new Apps, all in a weird order.

Having some trouble working out how to sync MobileMe Push settings as I have one .mac account which I use for calendar, contacts and 'spam' email, and then an email only account which is the address I give out and has about 4 other gmail accounts forwarding to it.

Apparently I can't Push both, and if I Push the email only one I then wouldn't have push for calendar and contacts. Grrrr.

Otherwise, screen looks good... definitely different and better contrast, can see why people think it looks yellowish but mine is not YELLOW yellow.

Back to it... must also eat at some point today!

I'm taking the afternoon off and I'm going to pick up from the warehouse (my gf has told me to, as she wont be able to stand me moaning all weekend :))

Still waiting for DHL here, can only seem to get there national number. All they will tell me is that it's on an all day delivery and that it should be with me before 5. I wish they would just give me the drivers number!!

Grrrrr!!
 
Finally arrived.......yippee!!

Did anyone else have an extra sim card in their bundle of stuff??

I upgraded from my last one
