iPhone UK - Sitting at home waiting for delivery

finally, it just arrived - just off to set it up - yeeeeeaaah

while i'm sat here tapping my fingers waiting at the mercy of DHL thought i'd find out what to do when i get my upgrade iphone, do we have to register it on itunes or do we just put our sim in and away we go i know i will need to sync it to put contacts on etc....
Any one know?

i take it DHL are delivering phones from o2 and CityLink for CPW?
and i also want to know this but for new subscribtion not upgrade

If it's the same as last time you have a sim in phone and you have to register it with o2 through itunes 7.7.

FYI - Maida Vale delivery just received 16Gb Black from DHL at 1115 hrs.

Switch sim card, register on iTunes, restore to new iPhone - then you're off!

and someone else from this area already has theirs from the Vauxhall service centre, my other half is at home waiting for mine and then he's gonna bring it to me (unless it's already home time

Thanks ginguar. I don't have the the 'out for delivery' bit yet. Which is what is giving me the sweats. I think I need to get a little more faith and take a couple of hours off here.

i just did mine

i put the sim card in from my old iphone first and then plugged onto itunes.

all worked fine, just created a new iphone instead of the old back up but it gives u that option.
Im just adding all my music and movies now.

Works like a dream!

I tried an 0870 number on their website but it was engaged.

Despite getting all the right emails and having a working dispatch code with City Link, and even with City Link's website confirming that my iPhone is loaded on the van for delivery today, I'm still convinced it's not going to turn up. Something will go wrong.
