Yes, I asked O2 this early in the week. You can port your number over at anytime.

Vodafone told me the same thing initially. I gave them written (emailed) notice of my intent to cancel and request a PAC on the day they told me, and the next day someone called, took some details, offered me a better deal (I turned it down), and then said that a code would be generated and posted to me the next day. I haven't had it yet but it should be any day now.
 
I might get ready for work and go out.....and then sneak around and back in - that might prompt the delivery driver.

I need to get out and visit some customers.......no doubt my delivery wont arrive until 5pm.

Mine arrived at 9am in Herefordshire. But iwon't be home from work until at least 6pm 🙁

Oh well, absence makes the heart grow fonder!
 
At least you guys have the comfort of sitting in your home 🙂 From what I can tell there's loads of queues about. Gotta wait for the damned contract to get activated now before I can use the thing.

Check out OfCom's website. There's an article on there that sets out the rules telecoms have to abide by regarding PACs. I was lucky in that T-Mobile gave me mine straight away, but I did buy the last two months of my contract out.

I did just that - thought I'd had success too as a Business Post van drove up.

Then I noticed I was still in my Tracky B's and slippers so I went back in doors. I think driver saw me so carried on past 😀

Wooooooohoooooooooooo!!!! It's arrived. At 10:35. But, but, but. I'm in feckin work all day till 6pm. I might just have to have an extended lunch. It is Friday after all.😀
