I think I know the answer already, but does unlocking your phone through a third party void applecare?

Sorry if this has already been asked.

no its an unactivated sim and i cant so that means that it is locked?

ok i have another question i was looking in the 'About' section of the phone and it says i have Model MD635LL but on the back of the phone it says Model A1428? anyhelp with this?

No, you would need an active sim to activate the iPhone and you would not be able o make a call unless the sim was active. I would say the fact that the tmobile carrier came up is a good sign but you really need an active sim to test it out.

Battery life after unlock

Have you guys had any issues with your battery after unlocking? I'm getting like 4.5 for a full charge and i'm wondering if it could be due to some issue caused by unlocking my phone. Thanks.

Nothing at all to do with battery. Its just like any other iphone.
The battery lasts depending on how much you use it and how you use your phone. Some tasks are more battery intensive than others but an official unlock like this does not have anything to do with your battery life.

Another thing on the ebay unlocks. Once the unlock is done through ebay, you don't have to reset your phone. Just make sure you put a sim other than t-mobile in your AT&T phone and have your phone on wifi or connect it to your computer where iTunes runs. The phone will go through activation and then unlock your phone automatically.

It worked for me. I got an active t-mobile card and it works fine in my phone.

I am just wondering something about T-Mobile. If they are going to truly "support the iPhone" on their network even though they are not offering it, I wonder if they will ever upgrade their voicemail system to support visual voicemail on iPhone. There is a section in the APN settings for Visual Voicemail APNs. T-Mobile just needs to support it on their voicemail system and create an APN for it.

sorry if this was asked before,

Could unlocking my iPhone 5 on AT&T through unlock_fusion or another eBay seller interrupt my grandfathered unlimited data plan?

Thanks in advance!

No. It has NO impact on your plan whatsoever.

Well, I just checked my IMEI through a handful of sites and all of them say my iPhone 5 is already unlocked?? I have AT&T as well and ordered from Apple.com. Could this be true?

Last news we have is the database is not correct for the iPhone 5 so you cannot trust the results from these sites yet.

Again. some have reported this to be the case.
The only way to check for sure is to get a SIM from another carrier (T-Mob, for example) and modify it so it works and try it.

I placeded my iPhone5 unlock via unlock fusion on Sat and it was unlock Sunday morning, I restored in the afternoon and it has the congratulation screen which I didn't get before submitting the order a day before...nice :)

I doubt they will unless they're officially carry the iphone.

Check your emails spam folder or go to his site and enter your imei for a query.
He's usually very fast.

Softbank

Does anyone know if/when Softbank Japan will allow whitelisting of iPhone 4S?

I'm stuck :(

Sorry if this has been asked and clarified before, but I have Verizon iPhone 5 which from what I understand comes unlocked.

Does that mean if I put in a AT&T nanosim I will be able to use HSPA+ AND their LTE network?

Thanks!
