Go with GSMfather.com as they are even cheaper for single orders! its time to boycott swiftunlocks, they definitely built a name but are big a$$holes when it comes to communication. Like another member I'm also beginning to develop problems with them. They constantly ignore my emails. Lately I sent $48 to use on my account and for w.e reason it didnt update Instantly as it normally always did in the past, so after not getting replies I opened a paypal dispute. Paypal gave him option to click the "Refund" button but Swift claimed it doesn't exist....been on paypal for 8 years, I know it exists and now I'm waiting for Paypal to complete the case. Sent another $35 as I needed to unlock a S4 yesterday evening....well guess what...same ***** happened. They Updated my balance this morning at 9:15am and completely ignored my 3 emails.

Gsmfather.com is the reason markets crash. "He" sells every service and doesn't care that he only makes >$1 per sale...what's $1 to all those rupees? :) Now you know why At&t is cheap as it is.

Now on to Swift. Besides your PayPal issues, Dhru (which makes most of those unlocking websites) can have a lot of bugs. For instance, your balance not showing up instantly. The supplier has to do it manually sometimes, even for their orders.

But besides that, Swift is still an a hole with his nose way too high.

as a reseller I could care less about what he makes :)

however I do see big guys like swift use gsmfather them selves...I see their info on their sites every now n then depending on the service I'm using.

When it's actually available again, expect the price to under $100 depending on which reseller you find. If it's $100+ they are pretty low on the totem pole.

I dont understand. What will become available again? Sprint international unlocks? I'm not very interested in an international unlock. I'm interested in a national unlock but from my understanding those will never be available.

I don't care either. That wasn't my point. My point is that if seller A is selling for $101, seller B will notice and start selling for $100. Back and forth we go...

I am referring to international unlocks. As far it working in the Usa, factory unlocks are pointless since the way that iPhone is made.

Where can I get a tmobile sim cheap? Just need to use a "not valid" sim for my unlock. Rather not buy a prepaid sim. My friend only has a nanosim

Yep, still good.
I got another unlock from him last week.

Sweet I got one as well and got the email super quickly. Gotta wait until I get home and plug in to check though!

Glad I found this....will be super helpful going to Italy. I can use my Nexus 4 on a prepaid sim and my wife can use my iP5.

Question about legality - I read that it is based on purchase date, i.e. if you purchased on or before 1/26/13. What if she purchased the phone before then, but needed a replacement after then.....would it still be legal to get my wife's unlocked?

I wouldn't even worry about something like that.
Not like the cellphone unlocking police will come looking for you:D
Very soon all cellphone unlocking will be legal in the US anyway since they're working on passing a new bill.
Good thing cause that previous stance didn't make any sense.
Anyway, enjoy your unlocked phones:)

I don't really think that there will be an iPhone police LOL, everybody is free to do whatever they want with their iphone and also it's perfectly legal from any standpoint. Also I've unlocked plenty of iphones from home for some friends (actually made some $ in the process) and I must tell you that nobody told me anything.. For the people that want to know how they can easily unlock their iPhone, i Used some guides from jaxov.com and also iphone unlocker pro (they have a really nice guide on unlocking: http://iphone-unlocker-pro.com. Happy unlocking folks!

How much do you want to bet, that like all good things, this new law will take about 1 year or more to be approved. This piece of crap law does not only affect the consumers, but i see no one thought of the small businesses, that do unlocks, repairs and have some investments made in equipments, where the unlocking part is about 1/3 of the total activity. Not only you are not allowed to unlock your phone, businesses are not allowed to sell codes or even sell or purchase unlocking equipment. Ridiculous.

Are you sure about that ? We had a stolen phone in our shop and tried to see if it works with my sim card, next day got a call to my sim number that i need to report to the nearest police station with the phone that has imei number xxxxxxxxxxx / s/n yyyyyy because it is stolen, how about that, little apple ?

Only one thing differes, i'm in Spain, so i can't be 100% sure how it is in the USA... but preety sure tech is the same worldwide.

Do you know of anyone that has gone out of business due to this law?

I think the user was referring to unlocks, you referred to a stolen phone...
