Did anyone else upgrading on the upgrade program that called in the support line to give information on what phone they want get an email like the one posted below?

If you did, I'm just curious about how they contact you to set up a reservation time.

Got same email no other responses

One of the mangers at the Apple Store near me said once they receive the phone in the store I will get an email stating it's there and I can pick it up. They have some special system set up where the phones for the IUP don't get scanned into the store's inventory. He said they have a list of IUP customers who are expecting to get the phone in the store. He then verified my name was on their list and stated I must have done everything right. He hasn't had any Jet Black iPhone 7 pluses in the store yet.

I got that email on launch day for a jet black iPhone 7 plus 256GB at&t for "by October 3rd." Last night I got an email that it arrived and I could pick it up any time during business hours today. It's a manhattan store. I showed up at opening, spoke with a manager, and they pulled it from the set aside stock (it's not scanned into inventory). It had a sticker on it with my name and a "hold until 10/4/2016" suggesting they'd hold for two weeks. Totally seamless and a nice ending that makes everything right in my book.

In short, no specific arrival time, just an email saying that it's ready for pickup. Just go to a manager and they'll take care of it from there.

Lucky you for getting it way early! Congrats!

Best part was mine arrived at the 5th avenue store in manhattan and I got the email at 10pm. The store is 24/7 and even though it specified the next day's date, I wanted to hop into a cab immediately and see if they'd release it to me. Ended up just waiting until the next morning.

Right, but I made a payment on the credit card I'm going to use to free up some space, and I'm waiting for that payment to clear which will hopefully be tomorrow

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I'm going to use IUP or switch to carrier payments not sure
