I'm sure this will be in the Main News section sooner or later:

Turns out that Android still took away iPhone market share even with iPhone 4 sales counted in, according to Comscore.

Apple loses marketshare even with iPhone 4 spike

How this will affect exclusivity

From a rising numbers standpoint it makes sense. Android is not yet at its level-off share spot, so it has to take share from someone.

Everyone still gets to sell more, because of more smartphone users.

I would switch to android for a couple of years just to change things up. But only when htc or samsung release a phone that has 300ppi or higher, and has smooth pinch to zoom.

I would switch to android for a couple here just to change things up. But is oilfield not do so when htc or samsung release a phone that has 300ppi or higher, and has smooth pinch to zoom.

<SCRATCH>Not sure what you meant about oilfield... probably iPhone auto-correction.</SCRATCH> I see you already changed it.

The EVO has 216.97ppi. That's pretty high res. From a normal viewing distance it isn't noticable. Put them side by side and you can see if it's noticiable for you I guess.

Apple knows how to market. That's what the retina display is all about. They are touting that the ppi is so high, but leaving out the fact that at a normal viewing distance, it's overkill. I wouldn't count on other manufacturers pushing their ppi up that much for this reason.

As for smooth zooming... My EVO zooms perfectly so I'm not sure what you're talking about...
