well screen size in a phone will always be constrained as we humans are not changing size. between 3.5 and 4 inches are about it

No they still lock you, there is no contract for iPhone without signing a two year. AT&T kicked off all prepaid iPhones so unless this has changed? Please correct me if I'm wrong?

I got my iphone unlocked and contract free... If you are in the US wait till november and get a contract free iPhone and use it on prepaid if you want...

You're not getting much out of a bigger screen, except a device that's harder to hold. There's a reason Apple went with the retina display.
Is it the same reason why Apple decided not to support NFC, dual band WiFi, 4G, memory cards etc.?
3.5" will be the perfect screen size until Apple will build a phone with a bigger screen size. Then all Apple fanatics will love it.

Some will, but I can't stand those high Androids. I am a person who doesn't use a case on my iPhone for one reason. It makes the phone bigger, and I hate having so much **** in my pockets.
I am not going to walk around with a belt clip, that's almost as bad as a fanny pack.

I went from a 4.3" Droid X to a 3.5" iPhone 4S. I find the 4S can display the same amount of content at the same distance and still be just as readable; probably due to the pixel density of the display.
