Anyone else see the resemblance to the old click wheel?
It’s like they brought back the click wheel. Home button center and a circular motion around it to interact with UI.

Why not? I like big phones. That device was running a slightly different version of the os and it should be how it was presented in the keynote when the product launches. I personally know the person who recorded the video.

Why? This has a bigger screen at 5.85” than the plus does at 5.5”... it just has a smaller form factor making it closer in size to the current 4.7” phones.

It remains to be seen if Apple’s “software mojo” will actually help to mitigate the burn in with OLEDs. They have stated that there is something in the software at play to reduce the amount of burn in. They never said the Display will be immune to burn in with their solution. I don’t think it will be a “constant dance,” but I believe the device will detect when it is in an idle state with the display still on and will shift pixels slightly.

They added that feature back in the iOS 11.1 betas.

It really depends on the app and how they handle their app going into the background. Most apps don’t have a delay unless the os removed it from memory for a different app. I really only deal with that the most when my device is in low power mode, but even then the apps will usually load up pretty quickly.

They did bring it back in the beta for 11.1
awesome! makes you wonder why other companies arent doing this... ?Not sure if there’s an answer to this already (a bit late to the game here), but in the code leak there was a string for “burn in mitigation.” So it would appear to be the case.
Hahaha all love, GrumpyMom!! Definitely not an easy task and took a few months to know the process. But I always need luck by my side.I’m not worthy. I bow before you. That is not easy to do! Good luck on Friday. Sounds like you won’t need it, though.
Here the app switching mechanism looks different from the Keynote demo. In the Keynote demo, Craig simply swiped horizontally across the bottom of the screen. Why is it different here? I like the Keynote demo swiping much better.
imo it looks better without the notchAnd this is how the unoptimised apps will look like...

I wrote a full response to this.....but then i realized that your comment makes no sense, in which my response would also make no sense.imo it looks better without the notch
Not sure either! Maybe they are, but it just isn’t publicized - one of those things we only knew of on Apple’s end because of the software leak. It would be awesome if they were taking steps that competitors aren’t though.awesome! makes you wonder why other companies arent doing this... ?
Well i think google isnt doing it for the new pixel.. post only came out this week about the horrible burn in.. wonder if apple has a patent on the technologyNot sure either!
