I personally feel like swiping up and pausing is a very slow way to bring up the app switcher. I use the 3D Touch app switcher all the time on my iPhone 6S and it is super fast. Does iPhone X support the same thing?
Slide the bottom 'line' left or right to switch between recent apps

As a lefty I have always liked 3D Touch task switcher. I don’t see why it would not work on the X once it’s on 11.1

Because now all you need to do is slide your finger across the bottom to quick switch between apps, or go the slide up and hold method.

Yea, that's kind of what I was thinking. Long press essentially does the same thing.

I guess if you say so, means it must be true. Logic would say otherwise, but we'll see.

Logic (the quality of being justifiable by reason) would say that since the reviewers are using 11.0.3, and 11.1 came out in GM form well after the phones were packaged in retail boxes, that we're going to see 11.0.3 on all launch week iPhone X deliveries.

Not to mention the guy in the UK who already received his, 11.0.3.

I don't know what facts at all that you have that would support your theory that logic all of a sudden just works the way you want it to.

Okay. I haven't seen anything to suggest that so I'll just see tomorrow. Either way, don't care what version it comes with. Just figured 11.1 since that's what they have been running on it since September.

Anyone out there have the X that wants to try it?
Someone already did the other day, and I can now confirm it is not on the X.

REALLY disappointing if I am honest. The new way to activate the App Switcher works okay, but it is far slower, and not as intuitive as the 3D flick was.

I'm also pretty disappointed in the lack of 3D touch switcher. Using the gestures at the bottom of the screen is just too much of a reach for my thumb when I hold the phone at the middle of the screen. I really liked the 3D touch option because it was much easier to reach when holding it in that position. Especially with the X being as tall as it is I feel like I'm constantly having to adjust my grip to reach all the necessary stuff.
