Just over three weeks after the iPhone X launched, availability at Apple's retail stores is steadily improving around the world.

Apple's in-store availability tool reveals that the iPhone X is available for walk-in customers to purchase today in several major cities in the United States, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Francisco, although supplies vary by exact carrier, storage, and color.

Apple analyst Gene Munster, in a research note with Loup Ventures, said iPhone X availability jumped to 16 percent over the past seven days, compared to just two percent in the week prior. The data is based on daily monitoring of roughly 50 percent of Apple's stores in the United States.

Likewise, in Canada, select iPhone X configurations are available today at Apple stores in major metropolitan areas such as Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Québec City, Toronto, and Vancouver.

A spot check of iStockNow.com revealed limited iPhone X availability for same-day pickup at Apple stores in Australia and Turkey as well, but supplies fluctuate throughout the day. Many stores receive new stock around 6 a.m. local time each day.

Apple's supply chain has addressed issues with iPhone X production, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, so in-store inventories should continue to increase. Likewise, iPhone X orders placed on Apple.com are now estimated to ship in just 1-2 weeks, down from 5-6 weeks on launch day.

We still recommend calling your local Apple store ahead of time to confirm iPhone X availability, as supplies continue to sell out rather quickly.

I have a 6S and I would really like to upgrade to an iPhone X. Unfortunately there is no way in hell I am forking out $1550.00 plus 15% HST for an iPhone. I really think that Apple's price point on this phone is just nuts. Maybe I'll go get an 8, or just hang on until next year.

Also: sim-free PLEASE!

I wonder if people get on BMW's site and complain about the price?
If you don't like the price of something buy something else, what is complaining going to do?
I love my 8+ and will be getting the X at some point. :)

I do think it's annoying, too.

Is it a lot of money? Well yeah!
Is it worth it? That's completely up to personal opinion. I've had that exact discussion with a friend who thinks it's not worth it for the tech involved. He's only looking at hardware and specs. I'm also looking at OS, ecosystem etc.. I'm looking at using it 4+ years. 250/year really isn't that much (well, if you GOTTA have a new phone every year...your personal problem). I - on the other hand - don't get what other people spend tons of money on. Drinks. Designer clothes. Watches ... but again, to each their own. I'm not judging.

I couldn't decide yet if it's mostly envy that lets people make those statements. I mean, THEY don't want to spend that much money, and that is fine. It's their personal decision. But they surely don't seem happy with it.

Probably envy :) People spend more on coffee, smokes, beer etc in a month.
And with the incentives you get the phone for free or at at reduced cost.
Right,I don't judge what people spend their money on but why complain about something you have no
intrest in buying?
The best things cost more,,kind of the way that it is.

Well considering what else exists for the money and in many cases, for much less money, the iPhone X is a Ford family sedan with a cracked windsheild at the Price of a BMW.

Glad to see all these sites reporting improved delivery times. I had ordered the 256GB Space Grey Model from AT&T and am waiting until Dec 11. I ordered mid Nov.

This is plain polemic and you know it.

People these days blow everything out of proportion. Just because they can. Or because they can't have their shiny new toy although they WANT to. So they start making up excuses and start downgrading stuff with over-the-top comparisons.

Iphone X and its stupid notch is a FLOP. For a major design change we should be seeing inventory shortages till' February 2018.. get rid of the stupid notch.. $1200 is too much for a phone that can’t do two apps at once, Total FAIL
You forget Apple has supply chain genius! They’re cranking out 15 million a month of this monster hit.

The notch will be around for years to come, it might be best to try to accept the things you cannot change.
