Sure you're not. A person posting on a Mac enthusiast site about a pre launch products availability.

You can deny it, and I can never prove it, but almost universally everyone I sell a phone to on launch day says "I can't believe I'm paying "XYZ$" but my (spouse, kid, SELF) HAS to have one today and I either missed out or can't wait until the one I ordered arrived".

No one has ever said "I just decided to skip the pre-order and pay scalper prices because..."

It's a terrible feeling on launch day seeing everyone else open up their shiny new "better than the one you have" phones. Maybe you really aren't the type of person that cares, but generally, the type of person posting about pre-order availability IS.

And thank goodness for those people! If people had patience, I'd have to return the devices, and I'd be losing... well... I wouldn't be losing anything because I get back exactly what I paid, but it'd be annoying =).

Sorry but not all of us that post about a product that they are excited about are clinically insane.

I don’t think you understand... I’m upgrading via my network provider this means I’m not buying the phone outright it’s under a contract so I’ll be taking any date they give me. And so far whenever I upgrade they send it on launch day.

I’m in the uk so not sure how things are for you guys overseas.

I’ve never paid scalper prices for anything I always pay the exact price or less never more for any product. Not in my life matey. In fact if I don’t get something at launch I expect prices to be lower as each month means it’s older so I’d never pay higher than launch price.

I'm in the US and I'n doing the exact same thing. People are just overly dramatic.

How can other people being enthusiastic for the X be so much of a problem with you people? You guys didn't like it and bought the 8/8 Plus. OKAY! You don't like the notch? OKAY! The price is outrageous? OKAY!

You %1ers will still never change the mind of those who minds are made up. Get over it already. You guys make more iPhone X threads than the people who actually are lining/staying up to Pre-Order the device.

Everyone on here knows that if any other manufacturer had put that tragic notch on their flagship phone, the community on here would have been howling with laughter.

1%? Tons of people dislike the X. Even my MOM says it looks stupid. A 65 year old iPhone lover.

Based off an official poll posted on these forums (not a Macrumors poll), people were planning on purchasing the 8 / 8 Plus / X all equally. Each phone has a market. Not sure why everyone thinks $1,000 phone will pull anywhere near the total sales numbers of previous models. Not going to happen. A lot more than 1% for sure.

My point isn't about what pulling what...

My point is, regardless of the notch and price. People are going to line up to get the device however means. They won't regret it. They'll enjoy it, and life will go on.

Will there be issues?

Every iPhone release had issues.

Delays?

Possibly.

People still are going to enjoy the X.

For all those so disgusted at the price and refuse to get one and tell others of the thousand reasons why they shouldn't get one too.

Thank you, cause now I feel more confident that I will be able to get one on release day when I pre-order with my contracted network for an upgrade.

With so few bezel and an OLED screen sorry but this iPhone is the stuff of dreams.

Some say no Touch ID no buy.... Well I was using iPhones long before Touch ID (My fav being the iPhone 4/4S) and will continue to use em long after Touch ID is gone.

So again thank you.. I hope you stay true to your words and stay away from the launch.

.....Somehow I feel people are lying and the iPhone X gonna be sold out it in seconds

Edit: And personally I prefer the Notch over the top and bottom bezel that the S8 has. But thats me :)
For every one that is disgusted there will still be 100 who will be buying to resell, taking from those who just want a new phone at the factory price during launch. THOSE are the people we should be shaking our fingers at.

Ok, but that’s not what you said. You said that a few people are complaining.

A lot of people are rejecting it.
A lot are accepting it.
Some don’t care and like shiny toys.

The rest of your points I didn’t comment on, and don’t disagree with.

OP mistakenly believes the opinions of macrumors forum users have any correlation whatsoever to the buying patterns of the average consumer.

Some just can't accept that Apple did something so different that it doesn't correlate with their narrative and that this Billion dollar Company doesn't know what it's doing, even with the most successful selling phone
In the world.

You can add humps and bumps along with sand paper feeling as a finish on the back of the phone but do not intrude a viewing experience on the front of a display!

That's completely false and utterly frivolous for an argument against the aluminum used for the iPhone.

Opinion of the iPhone X based on which iPhone you have now.

4 & 4s: There's a new iPhone?

5, 5c & 5s: I thought I had the big iPhone.

SE: Still waiting for the SE 2

6: Mine is still working

6+: Maybe I'll get a new battery. My screen is big.

6s: Mine is pretty fast

6s+: Keeping my headphone jack.

7: Moving up in screen size a notch

8: Hate the Ears!

7+ & 8+: I already have the big screen, without a notch

What I was trying to point out is you can do anything apples heart desires on the back of a phone but the

my point I was trying to get across is you can add spikes and nails on the back of an iPhone but do not tamper with the front viewing area of a display!
