Hey, has anyone read what the iPhone X finals release software version will be? I’m asking because, I’m on the public beta. If the iPhone X is released with a software version that is earlier than the current public beta, wouldn’t we have to downgrade first if we want to restore from our current phones?

I was wondering the same thing. Bloomberg is reporting GM 11.1 probably be released this week in time for the X. With the release of 11.2 beta today I think it’s likely and we should be ok. I hope

Any guess on which version of iOS 11 the iPhone X will launch with? My 6s Plus is on a developer build of 11.2 (4th I believe, I have an upgrade notification waiting). I am trying to plan ahead for my move the X on Friday in order to restore from a backup on the new device.

Cool, we’ll see guys. One thing is for sure, I’m not downloading the 11.2 public beta if it is released this week.

Do you mean 11.1?

There’s only 1 build of 11.2 and that was released yesterday.

I’m guessing that 11.1 will be released before Friday, but I’m unsure what will be on the devices - perhaps a build of 11.1 specifically for the X that was taken prior to the latest betas? Or perhaps a build of 11.0.3...

I’m in the same situation as you. I’m on 11.1 and avoiding 11.2 for now so there’s a chance I can restore without having to enroll the X in the beta.

Yes, my mistake. I’m on 11.1 (15B92).

If they release 11.1 before Friday I guess we'll have to upgrade it before restoring from backup

I'm hoping that's what happens, so I'm not going to 11.2 until after I restore phone, if then. May want to stay with released version for awhile

The review units, in the US anyway, are on 11.0.3. Just jump off the beta train by uninstalling the public or developer profile, like I did. Then go get the 11.1 public GM that was released today. You may have to update the X to 11.1 before you can restore it from your backup, but you’ll be good to go!

I deleted my public beta profile, rebooted, but it won't let me OTA to the 11.1 public GM from today.

I would avoid upgrading to the 11.2 beta if you want to use the backup on the X...unless you run the beta on the X as well.

Can anyone confirm that the iPhone X will be arriving at our doors with iOS 11.1 on it? I'm trying to decide if I should upgrade my 7 Plus so that my backup will restore from iOS 11.1. If the versions don't match, sometimes the restore has given me problems. Just curious if anyone could confirm which version of iOS the Xs are shipping with.

11.0 i bet

11.1 is still in beta, phones are already packed and on planes. So i would assume its 11.0

I wouldn't install a beta on a new phone until you know it works. Otherwise you don't know if the problem is the beta or the phone.
