It wasn’t a full version. It was a fully upgraded 6 Plus to another 6 Plus that I was replacing it with that had a lower version of iOS 9. Anyway, maybe they’ve addressed that issue since 10 and 11.

Huh, never heard of that. Ya hopefully it’s fine..

Although 11.1 shipped today for everyone else, any thoughts on what’s shipping on the X? If beta 5 was GM, I can see it making to phones prior to leaving the factory. If not, sounds like it’s probably going to require an update to 11.1 prior to restoring an 11.1 backup.

Saw some press units in videos had pending updates but it’s hard to tell who got what, and more importantly, when.

The review units had to be in the US before the units we ordered were shipped. So it's more likely the units we are getting would have 11.1. But it would be nice for the reviewers to show the version.

Fine the X on this site and look at the release date for 11.1.

Not to mention the review phones have 11.0.3 on them. Do you think Apple suddenly flashed a couple of million phones to 11.1 this week?
15B93 was both beta 5 and GM and released first on Oct 23. So there is a chance that production units were flashed one final time before leaving the factory.

Nearly every single review phone had only been in their hands for 24 hours. Carrier devices were already in US distribution warehouses by that point in time. The X you will get Friday will have 11.0.3.

11?
11.0.3
11.1?

Thanks! Im guessing we have to upgrade to 11.1, backup, and then update the X to 11.1 and restore?

Hum... those of you running beta’s on your current phones, what is your plan? I’ve already gone to 11.2 on my 7+, but my wife is on 11.1 beta. Definitely using a backup, so I guess I’ll upgrade the X to 11.2 and then restore the backup. Couple extra steps, but can’t think of a more streamlined approach right now.
