I use the Apple Folio Case. Haven't gotten a scratch anywhere; except the bottom opening.
Reminds me of the iPod Touch stainless steel back. As soon as you got that device out, it had a scratch.
yeah especially the bottom is scratched. I will call apple tomorrow. got the same problem the the iPhone 5s years ago and my iPhone was replaced without a question, so I will try
I wouldn't bother. Shiny stainless steel will continue to scratch over, and over, and over again. They don't replace Apple Watches with this same design problem, and even if they replace yours once, it'll scratch again. Why is it such a big deal, especially if it's in a case?
Makes no sense that polished stainless steel would incur surface scratches and abrasions. I have been using my iPhone X while wearing a surgical glove so that not even my oily fingertips can disfigure the shiny appearance of the steel band.
Just polish it. Works extremely well and is very easy. Do it with my watch all the time and is the reason I got the silver x over the SG, once SG scratches you can’t do anything. Look up stainless steel polishing wipes.
Once you accept it, the scratches in the stainless really give it some character. I think the watches look great after a year or two, and the iPhone X will be the same. I wouldn't stress, not worth it.

Used it naked since Friday with no scratches maybe it has to do with the case.

Stainless steel scratches relatively easy. A lot of people with the stainless steel Apple Watch say the same thing. You can polish them out though.
If we are on an upgrade plan (like Apple upgrade)...would we have to pay money to Apple when we upgrade next year for any scratches / wear / tear?
