The iPhone X is AMAZING!!! I love it. The display is beautiful. the faceID works as advertised. I don't know what to say... WOW!!! I think iPhone X is the first phone that I LOVE!!!! Apple did that. :D:D:D

Silver model and it looks lovely. Actually the Gray model looks flawless in real life too. People who got Space Gray won't be disappointed. The pictures online don't do it justice.

Use Face ID outside and report back.
I did a number of times and it worked just fine in the sunlight.

I played with mine just briefly during setup, and now its restoring, but it's bloody incredible feeling. I feel like there's not enough being spoken about how good the display is. Text looks like ink on the surface of the glass, suddenly my previous iPhone's screen has an odd depth to its look.

Explain pls

When using touch ID it asks you to place your finger twice in 2 profiles so it can read your finger prints in various angles when you use it

similarly when using face ID during round 1 of setup have the phone in front of you and scan your face. then in round 2 have your face at a very low angle under your face and scan your face. This increases the accuracy as it starts working flawlessly in multiple steep angles

Im curious about what's the limit angle you can use with FaceID, and if you can open it while its on the table (within hand's reach) without picking it up in front of my face?

Works flawlessly for me, actually works better than TouchID and is quicker, touchID always failed me or was annoying to access but Face ID is so much easier and I don’t even need to think about it

the thing with faceID, at least my understanding of it..

is that it will learn your variations over time.. with touchID, it uses the initial setup as the key but won't adapt over time..
whereas with faceID, the profile can and will change over time.

or-- if this 'trick' for setting up the profile does help initially, it likely won't be doing much in the long run as your profile in two weeks from now won't be the same one used upon initial set up.

?
(again, just my current understanding of how the faceID profiles work)

I think people were confused because it's not actually two profiles. It's just two scans. But this is a good tip for the second scan to make it more accurate out of the gate. I'll have to try this when mine arrives on Monday. Thanks!
