iPhone X Now Available for Pre-Order

The Apple Store App was a disaster for me. It was my only method to use for the iPhone Upgrade Program. I ended up having to reboot just to get it to load past the store down screen. I was then able to get it to load and get in to the screen where it showed my pre-approval choice at 16 minutes after. Then it kept giving me a bunch of random errors. I ended up doing TouchID to approve about 6-7 times. At 19 minutes after I got an order number and date of November 17-24. I screenshotted all of this. I still haven’t gotten a confirmation email, and it can’t find my order number or any order history. But when I go into the upgrade program link it says it’s oending so that makes me think something is going through.

This was super frustrating and not at all what I was promised by the AOS Executive Relations person I spoke with the other day. It was supposed to be a quick tap to pull up my pre-approval and go. What worries me is it said something about paying for the initial amount but I don’t remember it doing that unless it just used Apple Pay, but I don’t see anything on my bank yet. And I’m so tired. I hate how Apple disrespects their best customers by making them get up in the middle of the night.

Did you get an email confirmation? I didn’t, but the app said the order went through. When I check my order history it says I have no orders. Ugh!

Same thing. It also won’t let me try and order again, says my upgrade is processing. Of course I forgot to screen shot my order number. Anyone else have this?

Same here. When I completed the order, it said I got in for the Nov. 3 ship, but I have no confirmation email. The Apple Upgrade Program says I have an order pending and to check the orders page, but nothing on the orders page. Hope I didn’t just get ****ed over....

Same here - no response from the Apple store on my phone or laptop till 2:08 despite numerous retries, then connect , buy and delivery nov 17-23, T-Mobile site was worthless too

Launched the app at 2:00 CDT and nothing. Went to the website. Nothing. Cleared cache. Nothing. Different browser. Nothing. Wash, rinse, repeat until 2:05. Got mine ordered for Nov 3 delivery. 2:08 and it had already slipped to 2-3 weeks but seems to be holding steady at that. So frustrating to get up in the middle of the night though only to have neither the app (running on an iPhone 7, iOS 11) or the website work for a substantial amount of time. Surely Apple can work this out.

Yeah when I tried to enter my own phone number and social security for the AT&T account it said I wasn’t the account owner so I ended up entering my husband’s information since it IS gonna be his phone. I hope that doesn’t screw things for his order to go through because he has the same info. He got his in first and got the better shipping date. The phone is for him. The only thing that confused both of us was that the page opened up to a page of accessories and you have to look for the icon for your bag to pay.

Whoa the forum is messed up. Has been all day.

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the new iPhone X through its online storefront and through the Apple Store app.

The iPhone X features the first major redesign Apple has introduced in years with a 5.8-inch OLED display that is nearly bezel-free with no Home button. It also introduces a TrueDepth camera that supports a new Face ID facial recognition system and it supports Qi wireless inductive charging.

Apple's iPhone X is in high demand and all of the rumors we've heard suggest supplies are incredibly limited. Those hoping for launch day delivery should order as soon as possible, or a months-long wait could be in store.

Pre-orders are currently available in the first wave launch countries including Andorra, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, the UK, the US and the US Virgin Islands.

All of the major U.S. carriers -- Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile -- are accepting pre-orders for the new devices. Major online retailers including Best Buy and Target are also accepting pre-orders starting today.

Pricing on the iPhone X begins at $999 for a 64GB model and goes up to $1,149 for a 256GB model. Pricing for iPhone Upgrade Program customers starts at $49.91 per month and goes up to $56.16 per month. iPhone Upgrade pricing includes AppleCare+ support.

Customers who successfully place an order for launch day delivery can expect to begin receiving their devices starting on Friday, November 3, the official launch date for the iPhone X.

Worst experience. EVER. F*** you Apple. Ten years later and you still can't get your sh** straight.

A few things.
1. Verizon 256gb Verizon and spring phones still seem plentiful for nov 3 in store pickup as of 1am pacific in Boston area. Forget about ATT though.
2. I bought ATT which went fast. I did Apple Pay for in store pickup. It seems to have charged zero dollars in the Apple Pay log. Maybe just a verification. I suspect the payment itself will happen when I pick it up.

Nerve wracking pain in the ass. Wankers insisting that there would be plenty of supply for launch and that constraints were all an Apple ploy can eat my butt.

Based on other launches I was focused on trying to order with the apps. Finally at 3-4 minutes past the hour (after Macrumors claimed it was up on the app store) I tried browser on my Mac and it started the order process.

Had to re-enter all information.... then, got to payment and got denied Citizen's First with some mealy mouthed crap about getting an explanation within 24-48 hours of why they rejected it. P.S. Citizen's First, I have an 800+ credit score and have never been denied credit in my life, won't be doing business with you again.

By the time I got through the order process with AT&T next order had already slipped out to 2-3 weeks from launch. Now I have to debate lining up hours in advance at a local store for a slim shot of getting one on launch day.

UGH.

Congrats to those that got it. I’m still bummed. The Apple Store app didn’t come up until 3:11EDT for me and by then it was too late: ships 2-3 weeks. Oh well, those that wait until tomorrow or the day after may see “delivers in 4-6 months”!

Same here, and Tmobile phones seemed to be in shorter supply for local pick ups. Darnit. I started refreshing everyone at like 2:29 here and still 2-3 weeks.

had the option to pick up in store on 11/03 but stupidly went for delivery and got 1-2 weeks. but seems like i’m not too bad. took about 8’ on apple app to do the transaction.

then went to t-mobile (well, refreshed and went through their stupid process) and 20’ later, was able to get one there for 11/03 delivery. weird. hopefully that works. so, one through t-mobile and 2 via apple app.

I placed my order from the West Coast through the app, but upgrade through At&t. Only screwed up twice putting in my damn app store password. I didn't even bother looking at store pickup, just went for shipping. I'll look into that tomorrow by calling apple directly.

Apple App Store wasn't up on my end until 00:06 PDT & that was with me refreshing after closing the app every 2 secs. If you let the app reload on it's own, you were already at a lost for getting it launch day.

Apple does have a Data Center not 100 miles from where I was connecting. Maybe that's what got me in so fast, because the longest wait was contacting at&t at 5 secs roughly & purchasing @ roughly 5 secs.

Awoke in the middle of the night to buy one to be a Christmas gift: Verizon 256GB either color, pay in full ($1149). Apple's website requests 3 pieces of information as a seemingly last step:
  • Wireless number
  • Billing zip code
  • Last 4 digits of Soc
It didn't matter if I entered the recipients or my information for these 3 pieces of info: either yields a red-text error message:

We're sorry. We can't find your account information with Verizon.
Please verify your information and try again.

...presumably because neither the recipient nor I are set up with a Verizon account yet.

Apparently there is NO WAY to give Apple $1149 via site or app to buy a iPhone X as a gift to someone not already on Verizon.

The app store app includes some extra text on this screen that says: "If you don't have an account PIN enabled on your Verizon account, we'll send a text message with a one-time passcode to the number you provided above. No text messaging fees apply." but no text arrives.

Also tried ordering on Verizon's website but they demand that 1 of 2 plans are chosen as part of the purchase- seemingly no way to buy a Verizon model and then select the plan after Christmas.

Why does it need to know a carrier if you're ordering an unlocked phone on the US site? Are there any differences in the carriers? Says it delivers with a carrier's SIM. Confused here. Was ready to order as soon as the site was back up, but that one issue screwed me over and now it's at 4-5 weeks for delivery (((( Wanted to order for using abroad, not in the US.

Picked up an ATT 256 Space Grey w/ Nov 3 delivery. A bit sketchy on the Apple Store app, so jumped on the website a little after 12a and scored.

OK. I was able to get thru, via Apple Store app, by about 1:06-08 a.m. MST.
My "Favorited" iPhone X, 256, Space Grey, AT&T (for some unknown reason) was not set up to be a new iUP account (as I had designated as recent as yesterday), indicating I could add Apple Care. Add Apple Care?!? It's bundled with iUP. Uh-oh...

So I backed out, started from scratch, and made it thru to the carrier confirmation page. After about 30-seconds, I received a message indicating Apple was unable to reach the carrier systems to process my order, "but we have reserved an iPhone for you." It continues that I will be receiving an email when it's time to process my order, that will include instructions to complete my order and a return link. I have 24 hours to respond or my order will be cancelled. They gave me an url to check status - which, of course, I immediately did. The only new info there was it listed my actual email address - that I will be checking like a mad man.

So now I wonder if my delivery date will reflect the time stamp from when the reservation was granted or not until I complete my order per pending email.
Regardless, it appears I at least have an iPhone X coming at some point down the road. #neat

Good luck, all!

Waiting on the dreaded email for my spot in line. Nothing so sad......

Verizon let me in at 11:55 to order on my 4 lines by 12:02 to complete the payment. I upgraded my 2 AT&T at 12:05. TMobile website and Sprint website were both giving me errors, so I called up and placed my TMobile order on 2 lines at 12:45. The agent told me I was one of the first. Not sure if that means first day ordering or first day receiving them as I won't know. I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to call up and get 2 Sprint phones.

My order has vanished and BarclayCard decided to decline the transaction for some reason. I guess this means I'm going to be getting an iPhone X next year now. My pre-order was for shipping on Friday 3rd Nov too. :(

Do you happen to have the link? I was in such a hurry I didn’t even copy it. I’m in the same boat couldn’t contact Verizon

When do you pay for preorder? I made one but Apple still didn't take my money ;) Is it just before shipping or in 2-3 days after recieving invoice (they say it will be ready in 2-3 days)?
