Arrived at the Apple Store around 7:45am EST. Waited in line. Waiting now for AT&T’s system to allow the order to go through.

I had to cancel the online order for it to go through though.

BTW it’s 12:10 and I’m still waiting for the phone to provision.

Walking in store this morning was the best option. In Chicago, and showed up at 8:30am and got both of my phones. My 2am preorders still show 3-4 weeks and 4-5 weeks out. A few hundred phones are/were in stock for walk-ins.

Its because there have been many reporting that they canceled their orders. there were reports saying it will be hard to get before for the first few months of 2018...So much for that lol, even Ebay scalpers are not doing as well as predicted, its not that good of a device...Sorry Apple :(

You really think its the canceled orders? Yeah, me neither, its the lack of orders

Same boat here. And it's not 2-3 weeks out it's really 3/4 weeks. I was up at 3am est to order got the bs reserved spot carrier issue spot saved delivery for nov 3 and got bumped to nov 17-24 yet I here all these people saying there dates improved. Not fair. I did hear that apple stores will be getting shipments all weekend long but I don't believe it.

Weird. I ordered mine first then my wife’s. Both thru Apples iPhone upgrade program and both were estimate by Nov 24th. Hers shipped first even though I ordered mine first. Hers is due to arrive Monday, mine still in process but my card as charged on the 1st so it should be shipping soon.

Not me. I’m still 2-3 weeks out. Yay for “preorders”.

If I wasn't worried about my PTO hours because I have a trip coming up, I would have just taken the day off and waited in store. I'm regretting pre-ordering because mine actually got pushed BACK from Nov 17-24 to Nov 20-27th. I also got that Reserve crap before I tried to pre-ordering again and got the Nov 17-24th slot. Maybe next year I'll join the lines.
[doublepost=1509748150][/doublepost]So I was up and ready at 2:45AM and the Apple store wasn't up at 3:01AM where I was until 3:09AM. I quickly click through what I want: Silver, 256GB Model, AT&T carrier, Apple Care+ with payment in full. I get the "We need to verify with your carrier settings" and am on the reserved list. Yeah, no. I try it again and it goes through with the estimated delivery date of Nov 17th-24th.

I read the news and the forums about delivery dates improving. I get excited and check my status: Order in Progress, Delivers on Nov 17-24th. I get worried and decide to call Apple - gets told to just check on my order status essentially. Okay, fine. I realized I forgot to ask whether I can change my shipping from home address to being able to pick it up in store (I don't mind the wait, I just hoped it would ship to the store instead because I'd have horrible experiences with home delivery - my MacBook Pro Retina was left right outside my front door in the rain and my Apple Watch was placed outside of my neighbor's door...thank goodness I was tracking it 24/7 so I realized it wasn't on my doorstep. I was informed that a signature was REQUIRED for them but that never happened). Informed that I wasn't able to change from home shipping to in store pickup and to check the order status.

Great.

I check my order status again and lo' and behold, "Order in Progress, Delivers Nov 20- 27". I was November 17-24th previously.
Please tell me I wasn't the only one.

Me too.
I changed the email on my order and went from Nov 17 delivery to November 20. Did apple chat session and all they could say is that it doesn’t make sense, and that they can’t fix it. I asked for a supervisor to call me

Ugh, that sucks. Hopefully you'll get a call back soon and perhaps share what he/she told you regarding the push back in date while majority of people are seeing improvements in delivery.

My order changed to preparing for shipment. Should receive and 2 weeks early.

My order went through early on the 27th and I am still out into mid December for shipment - go figure. I'll probably wait a few days for the "rush" to die down and drop by our Apple store to see what is in stock. A bit frustrating but not worth stressing out.

I'm sure they will sell a lot of these but the hype for this was silly. It's a $1000 phone in an already saturated and mature market.

And outside the U.S, well the prices are obscene.

One would argue the market is neither saturated nor mature.

Apple is accepting reservation in store pick up now so I cancelled my November 17-24 order so I was able to pick up a silver 256 GB (Verizon) iPhone X in store today!

The limited supply was all hogwash like the 1 in 1M odds to unlock Face ID. All bull.

I got my BB email (the second one) again today thinking I wouldn't get it in another week and I'm not even excited about it anymore after I saw both in person yesterday. It's like whatever to me.

A male Verizon employee remembered me from last night after I had inquired about a Pixel 2 XL and he gave me his business card. I can just call him directly. I bet if I did tonight, that corporate store probably has a space gray 64 X I would want in stock.

If none in stock, who cares? Move on with my life. A better version always come along every year. An anniversary iPhone doesn't mean it will be the greatest ever.

Don't believe the rumors or everything what Apple tells us. They are all crooks like politicians. Even my favorite companies like Google, Sony, and LG, I don't trust 100%. It's only business. Not personal.

iPhone X shipping estimates have now improved to 3 to 4 weeks in the United States and Canada, up from a previous shipping estimate of 5 to 6 weeks.

The updated 3 to 4 week shipping estimate applies to all carriers, colors, and capacities, and it means that orders placed today will arrive right around the beginning of December rather than later in the month.

Earlier today, iPhone X shipping estimates improved to 3 to 4 weeks in countries Europe, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East, while shipping estimates were still at 5 to 6 weeks in North America, but now the iPhone X lists the 3 to 4 week shipping estimate in all first wave launch countries.

With shipping estimates improving, customers who have already placed an order for the iPhone X are also seeing their prospective delivery dates bumped up in many cases, and as available supply grows, delivery estimates should continue to improve further.

Just this afternoon, Apple CEO Tim Cook said Apple is working to increase production week by week to get the iPhone X to as many customers as possible as fast as possible.

As it's already November 3 in many countries around the world, the first iPhone X models are in the hands of customers. Apple's U.S. launch will kick off in the United States at 8:00 a.m. local time, with those on the east coast being the first to get the new devices.

Yep. And / or they could have fixed the "problems" 2, 3, 5 weeks ago and been ramping up like a champ.
Exactly. Taking reports from "inside sources" should be taken with a grain of salt. There could have been issues, but the issues could have been solved way before the "sources" found out about the issue/s.

Apple's ordering system / approach is really screwed up. I called yesterday and had a low key discussion with the rep about how my October 27 pre order is still showing later delivery than orders going in 8 days later. She confirmed that there are a number of problems. So I check my delivery date today and it is a week later than prior to my discussion ?????

So after the phone call its taking an extra week now?? what about cancelling the order and reordering it if will be quicker?

Ordered iPhone X SG 256GB 5 minutes past 8, here in Ireland. Got 15-22 delivery. Still remains at the same date.
