Yesterday, low-quality unboxing videos and images of the iPhone X began to emerge online as the device arrived at shipment facilities and mobile retailers around the world. Today, Apple has lifted the embargo on reviews and handed the smartphone over to the media, leading to a wealth of detailed and high-quality unboxing videos from the usual YouTubers and review outlets.

Similar to the package for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, the box for the iPhone X simply says "iPhone" on the side. There are unique details to the front of the box with raised, shiny areas that represent the stainless steel band encircling the iPhone X, and inside you'll find the expected assortment of items including the power adapter, Lightning cable, EarPods, and of course a set of Apple stickers. Check out more unboxing details in the videos below:

Pre-orders for the iPhone X went up on October 27 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, and quickly slipped to a 5-6 week shipping estimate minutes later. As of writing, the smartphone still remains in that December shipping window. The iPhone X will launch worldwide in three days on Friday, November 3.

Okay, I kinda regret not having preordered.
Hopefully will be able to get one before Christmas!

Silver X looks amazing, and I’m probably going to get that one.

Did anyone catch Marques mention the MacRumors thread where the guy asked if his girlfriend could unlock his iPhone X while he's asleep? Meaning Marques probably frequents these forums...LET'S FIND HIM.
Try M.B. or MBrownlee.... Should be real easy to find :D

I get that it's £1k, but Apple put a lot of work into the design of this phone. It makes me so mad to see people cover it straight up with those awful silicone cases. The X has a steel skeleton and the glass back makes it quite grippy - go caseless DAMN YOU PEOPLE. Otherwise what's it all for?!?!

Apple really cannot design boxes for phones. Ive seen so many people, including Apple Store employees nearly losing the phone when taking the top off.

Now they cover it in paper as well to fool even more people?

Over the years, unboxing videos seem to have morphed into a unique entertainment phenomenon. I'm always amazed how the creators of these videos, not just for Apple products, love to drone on and on about the box, the packing material, how a power supply is wrapped, the folding of a cable, the quality of a piece of tissue paper, etc. ... every little packaging element is explained in mind numbing detail while I suspect many folks watching these videos are probably thinking "will you please get to the product in this lifetime".

Don't get me wrong, Apple packaging is amazing, heck, even I save my Apple product boxes, but I still find the whole unboxing video culture a bit over-the-top.

Always seemed condescending to me. And clearly biased towards Goog. But if he's your hero I still wouldn't hold my breathe. Someone could've tipped him about the thread.
