Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. Hopefully we're all the same in that regard. Now its fingers crossed time for some delivery bumps. Once CS slows down a bit I'm going to try and get the usual upgrade to overnight shipping which should lock it in for next week. Worked the last couple years as long as you get a CS rep that will work with you.
Do you call or do you do it online chat? What do you say exactly? Just ask "Can you please change my shipping to overnight?"

Thank you!

I got my order in around 12:03, and also noticed that the in store pickup was not available for me. But a friend of mine ordered 3 min after me, and had att, and had the option for the Nov 3rd pickup at the local Apple store. So this leads me to believe that tmobile phones are in short supply right now. And as most have already mentioned i do think the dates will be pushed up. Last year when i ordered the 7 plus i had a 2-3 week delivery time frame, and got it 5 days after launch. So there is hope of receiving it early.

T-mobile and AT&T handsets are one in the same. No difference whatsoever. There's something else going on here for us T-Mo people. I'm leaning more and more towards Apple verifying customers prior to shipping (which leads me to believe that launch day could still happen).

FYI they do this anyways, and that is why standard was the only option. You can call and have the placebo of overnight placed on your order, but they are all overnighted.

What kind of verification do you think Apple is doing? I bought a T-Mobile phone, but will most likely use it on AT&T. But have been with Apple for a long time, and used my pre-email address Apple ID.

Good question. I'm not sure exactly how they'd do it (or even if they are), but it makes no sense to me that you can get an AT&T phone for launch day delivery and not a single one of us T-mo people had the option from the get go. It was instantly 7 days later. Just seems odd.

The person you quoted could be right. Considering that was the only option you could pay in full without carrier info, they very well could be going through and cancelling all orders over "x" amount on the same appleID.

Also, a lot of the 1-2 week ship times do ship for launch day delivery. At least they have in the past.

Has there been a single confirmed report of a T-mobile 256 paid in full from apple for launch day?

I’ve only seen it from
People who purchased through t mobile. Not a single person who ordered through Apple

I really think those of us with the 11/10-11/17 delivery dates, and got in fairly early (say within the first 3-4 mins) I have a feeling we'll see our dates pushed-up. Just a gut feeling. I hope I'm right, but at this point, it's all a crapshoot.

Seems like my story is about the same - Apple store app sucked - got in 12:04AM PST - ordered two 256GB phones - says 11/10 to 11/17. After reading some posts, I decided to give T-Mobile a try and called them - they have me set for 11/3 to 11/10 - however I'm not sure i trust them - also charged me a $40 upgrade fee (I'm a biz customer) on a full price phone - that ticks me off.

Sounds like some think Apple will move up the date. I have to cancel one order or the other. I'm leaning towards cancelling T-Mobile because I don't really trust they will come through (even though it should be earlier). Phone order was a cluster.

Opinions?

I just went back and checked on my Jet Black 7+ From last year. The email i received last September (received at 3:06am on 9/9) says 1-2 week shipping with delivery estimated between 9/26 and 10/3, and it ended up being delivered on 9/21. Obviously not guaranteed to be the same as last year, but an interesting data point.

Forgive me, when was the launch date of the jet black 7 Plus? For comparison sake that is. I know I could look it up...and probably should. But figure this would be easier. Basically, my question to you, it stated 1-2 weeks, how long after launch did it actually take?

9/16 - so I received it 5 days late. I have a vague recollection that some people got it on 9/15 but mine was a day later.

I tried my best to place pre-oders as fast as possible, yet I got one delivered 11/10 - 11/17 and another in 11/17 - 11/24. There would be no problem for the first one. But I will have to go oversea on 11/17 and nobody at home to get the second delivery. Do you think if there's any chance Apple would ship earlier than the scheduled date or I should cancel the order?

I had 2-3 weeks quoted for the jet black plus and received it 8 days after launch.

I called in the last two years. You'll sometimes get a rep who refuses to help or tells you they can't alter the order, but they can so you just have to keep trying different reps. I would assume chat is a valid option too once it's back online.

So when the iPhone 8 came out and there were talking about trade-in kits and T-Mobile, Macrumors reported this:

"Unfortunately, T-Mobile customers who are members of the iPhone Upgrade Program will still need to visit an Apple Store and will not be able to upgrade online."

https://www.macrumors.com/2017/09/11/iphone-upgrade-program-trade-in-by-mail/

So is this not the case for the iPhone X? Obviously a lot of people here were on the IUP (including myself) and are getting it delivered and will have to trade their phone in. I didn't have a chance for instore pick up. It sounds like the above was just for the 8... which doesn't make sense?

I seriously think this was a strategic move on Apple’s part to avoid multiple orders being placed by the same person for resale. It’s just very odd it would be the only model you can pay for in full without carrier info.

I will be extremely curious if people who ordered more than one with the same AppleID see one of the orders cancelled.

I hope that's the case, and then Apple bumps up the delivery date.....

Can't really justify that being that some of us ordered one for a family member under the same Apple ID.

I got into the store at about 12:03. I had a chance to do in-store pickup, but was trained for delivery, that I failed and didn't go for the November 3 store pick-up. So I got a Silver 256 T-Mobile for November 10-17. Anybody think we'll get lucky and be bumped up? Also, double checked, my credit card hasn't been charged. I know those that have, got release date delivery.

Same here. Too tunneled on delivery that I totally glossed over the Nov 3 pickup option, even though I ordered 2 phones.

Received my confirmation email at 2:04 CDT.

I hope we might get bumped up, but I’m not optimistic at all considering how the Jet Black (7+) delivery went.

Here's an interesting thought - has anyone who ordered a variant other than T-Mobile received the 10/10-10/17 (ships in 1-2 weeks) delivery timeframe?

Physically the phones are identical, but there are tmobile sims placed in tmobile phones, and the same for att. thats the only difference. perhaps they acquired more att phones than tmobile, as att dates were showing nov 3rd while we all got 1-2 weeks.

Yes, I ordered Verizon Silver 64GB and got 10-17. It was like that when the shop first loaded and I got a confirmation e-mail by 3:03AM. I don't think 11/3 delivery was possible through apple store.

My JB 7+ was delivery estimated between Oct 4 and Oct 10. The shipping email said it would be here on Oct 6, and it was.
Any-who, it was within the mentioned timeframe although my order was confirmed at 02:14 Central time (compared to 02:04 for the X).

The only thing I can think of along your lines, is they're still shipping the T-Mobile phones to America. So they got the other providers, but not T-Mo.
