I have an iPhone 7, before that I had an iPhone 6 and 6 plus. The plus model is just too big for me. I have regular size hands but it's hard to reach across and have a device that size in my pockets. I saw how amazing the dual lens is and have been so jealous that it's not on the standard size iPhone.

I followed vlogs all year to see if Apple is releasing dual lens on the standard size and the closest is the iPhone x. I want this iPhone so much, it's unhealthy. I don't care for any other feature of the iPhone x othern than the dual lens and potrait mode. I don't care to use face id, I'll use passcode. I don't care to chat as a fox face. I won't even take advantage of wireless charging. I just want a small iPhone that has dual lens. It sucks 'cause I have to order through my carrier instead of Apple and I know it'll be January before I get mine even if I order at midnight. Some customers just want it 'cause it's new but I really really want this iPhone. iPhone scalpers are scum and ruin it for us true fans. Anyone else have a similar case?? Feel free to make fun of me, I know it's a silly desire.

I want the X mostly due to the design. I love the fact the X has gone back to a glass design harping back to the iPhone 4 era which I consider to be the peak of iPhone design( the 3G being the bottom). The 8/8Plus may have a glass back too, but it still looks too much like the 6 era design. The X is still influenced by the 6 era design, but the X still looks more like an evolution of the 4 than the 6. I much prefer the stainless steel frame over the aluminum. I love the front is all screen and OLED peaks my interest by seeing Android phones with it.

Face ID is obviously something that is a wait and see, but if it is as reliable as Touch ID or even more so, then will be a huge fan( and Touch ID is far from perfect, I have had to adjust my finger to get it to fully recognize it).

if you're really buying this iPhone 'cause of talking crap, please don't ever breed

so, you are that greedy??
Why does that make the person greedy? If they follow the same purchase criteria that everyone else does, what business is it of yours what they choose to do with a phone they just purchased?

I want it so I can make $3k from desperate buyers....

On a more serious note, I want because it's the first in the new generation of iphones. Basically to keep it in the box after using it for a while.

Form factor. Finally I can have an iPhone without having to carry a whole iPhone!
Everything else is great but the bigger screen in a smaller package while still having an edge is what I really want. I’ve had a few of the latest Galaxy phones and the edge design just doesn’t work for me.

'cause it takes away from customers like me who really want this iPhone but can't afford to pay a scalper $2k for it and it also hurts Apple who doesn't make a sale from the extra cash

I'm driving around in supercars and have a few houses in different countries.
I simply don't need to work any harder but if money wants to fall in my lap - i'll happily take it.

I'm not really in need of a new phone yet as my iPhone 6 still does it for me. But I'm in the same frame of mind as you. I want a 4.7" iphone with the dual lens camera. The X would be the perfect phone for me, except I'm not interested in that price. $1150 is a lot to pay for a phone. Maybe I can hang on for one more year to see what the iPhone X Series 2 will bring to the table.

The only thing in me hoping the X flops is for it to bite the people who just want to resell it for a massive profit in the butt and a forced to take a loss....

Just return it within 14 days and its apples problem..
Only the needy will buy it, its not going to kill anyone if they don't get the next phone.

Or........do both. You seem bitter that someone can profit off of something they purchase in the same manner as yourself. Why? Why do you care?

because I'm a true fan of this iPhone and I don't want to wait til January to get mine, but people only buying to sell it are only making it harder for true fans like me to get mine on time

I love tech that is my one guilty pleasure in life. I do not drink or smoke so I spend my hard earned money on other things. I like to try out the latest devices. I have been in the phablet market since the note 2 so getting the x will be the first time I drop back into the "one handed" phone size. Will be interesting to see how it works out. If I am not fond of the phone can always go back to my 7+

Ok for one, it doesn't hurt Apple. They are still making their sale. And with over $260B in cash reserves are we seriously worried about poor old Apple? Secondly, get up and preorder before the person selling their phone. Problem solved. If another person gets up at the same hour as you, goes through the same process as you, pays the same amount of money as you, they have every right to take that phone and make a profit, perform a drop test video, use it as a beer coaster, whatever the heck they please.

You are arguing against a pretty core pilar of capitalism. Thats how people get rich. They buy something for X and sell it for Y based on what people are willing to pay and how scarce it is. Are apple making money the honest way by charging crazy money for their phones in the sole pursuit of profit? Is the trader making millions a year making money the honest way?

Its a buyers choice as to whether they pay someone above face price for an item they want. They don't need it, its a luxury item and they could just wait. I don't necessarily agree with the practice but I don't really care if people do it. Takes 2 to tango and all that.

damn dude, you really are heartless, your logic has no compassion

Its the real world, supply and demand.
How about moan at apple for being heartless and not pricing the X at $199??
Whats the difference? I'm sure apple will make more than i do/could.

I am ordering at midnight on day one, but i have to order through my carrier 'cause of my contract, and it makes it unfair for customers like me who will be outsold by customers who can buy at apple and receive theirs first before others
