That's how my 7 was like back in its early days (with iOS 10).
Anyone coming from an iPhone X? How much better is the battery life? I'm thinking of getting the XR for it's battery life.
Somebody above said it lasts twice as much.
I’m sure a XS would last much more than a X too. But of course XR would last even longer.
There's no way it can last twice as much. The X can have a screen on time of up to 8-10 hours according to my testing. That's mostly Reddit, WhatsApp, casual web browsing etc.
There's no way the XR can last for 16-20 hours of screen on time.
A X doesn’t really do 8-10 hrs. Not on iOS 12.
If you’re talking of real world mixed usage (4G plus Wifi) assuming there are 0 calls and only actual screen usage, a X can do 5-6 hrs over a 12-15 hr period.
A XS should do 7-8+ hrs over a 24 hr period.
A XS Max maybe 1 hr more.
A XR maybe an additional 1-2 hrs over that.
There are other tests where a XS is a lot better.
The graphs 12 shows you are inaccurate. You need to do a screen time test yourself. The 10 day battery graphs are all wrong. I’ve tested it.
The X's in other tests probably had low battery health.
I manually count the bars for each hour after disconnecting it from the charger. Its a bit of work, but it's accurate.
Battery life is pretty excellent. Have a max too and it is pretty great battery life too. Interested to see how it handles this upcoming weekend of heavy usage and little WiFi!
But doesn't that usage time include time prior to the current charge as well?So the XR came off the charger at about 2:30 yesterday. I have used it a good bit.. again.. first charge so indexing is going on and this should be ‘bad’ battery life.
This morning, as of 9:30 it shows almost 6.5 hours of Screen On, 21 minutes of Screen Off and I have 48% battery remaining. I am pretty sure I could make this battery last through tonight if I had to based on this. Insane battery life. With heavy usage it has gone 19 hours so far.
I don’t know. Maybe someone can let us know. I do know I used the phone a LOT from yesterday to late last night. But doesn't that usage time include time prior to the current charge as well?
Same here. Literally felt like I ALWAYS had to be plugged in with my 7. And any streaming I did drained the battery crazy fast. With the Xr I used it a lot during the day, then streamed an hour of monday night football, and still had 40% by 11pm. This is better than an all day phone for me. Hell, I could probably make a charge last two days if I wanted. My biggest complaint about my 7 was battery life, even after Apple swapped out the battery it was still barely making it on one charge through the day. The XR can't seem to drop below 50% even on my heaviest-use days. Yesterday I went to bed with over 50% left and I had well over 4 hours of SOT. This is insane.
