I am torn what to do if I should purchase the iPhone XR, iPhone XS or the Max.
Which one do you have and your reviews.
If you could go back and change your mind on the phone you have would you?

I bought the max and would not change my mind.

- do 3dt, dual lenses or oled matter?
- does an lcd with haptic feedback and great battery life tickle your fancy?

Does it feel heavy or to big to fit ina pocket?
I am a women and still like my phone in my pxoket.
Heavy is subjective. You have to try the phones out yourself in an apple store to get a feel for them.

I carry the phones in my front pants pocket and it’s comfortable for me.

How does it compare to the XR?

Owned both the Max and sold it to get the XR. it’s a better phone. Better battery, smaller size, same amount of info.
Coming from an X to a X Max to a XR - people note the black blacks of an OLED screen.
And yes the OLED screens have better blacks. But if you actually do work on your phone. How important is black super black vs black. Compared the battery life, I made that trade off.

So the Max is just an extra waste of money?

It’s not a waste of money, just the iPhone XR is basically the same phone, I cannot tell the difference between the displays, I don’t miss 3D Touch and the phone is gorgeous to look at. I would chose my Xr over Xs max, but don’t get me wrong the Xs max is an amazing smartphone but for a £350 saving the Xr is definetly the sensible option

Max is the nicest phone. But the XR is very good relative value, given the price difference between it and the Max. My own choice between those three would be the XR purely based on value. For me, a 0$ XR on the same plan or a 459$ XS Max on the same plan is what I’m deciding between and I can’t justify the Max for 460$ more. For me processing power and performance is the key feature so the XR would be fine.

If you want the best though go with a Max. Truly the best display on an iOS product yet.

If you’re considering the smaller and more “single hand use friendly” XS, I must suggest you look for a cheaper X since it’s an almost identical experience. The X brand new can be found with some great deals on contract.

Really depends on what you value the most Op

Look if money is completely not an issue just go for the max I doubt you will regret it. If your like me which I’m not made of money and couldn’t imagine spending 1200+ bucks on a phone go XR. I sold my X to get and android and regretted my decision on leaving iOS. So my only choice was XR. I got an XR 128gb for 800 and couldn’t be happier. I like it even better then the X I sold. You can notice the screen quality difference but it’s nothing crazy to be honest. But cheaper, better storage option, better battery, and better portrait mode is a winner for me.

I am definitely not made of money either but want to make it worth my money. I do like the zoom better on the XS versions on the XR you have to manually hit screen to turn it on.

OP I suggest spending a good two hrs at the apple store. Try them. Heck you can return them if’s you aren’t satisfied with the max or xr or xs. See if you like the screen and the size of each phone. I’ve tried the xr 2 times. One for 4 Days and another for 8 days. I’ve since decided to go xr since it’s more comfortable.

I did that exact thing. Spent a lot of time st the apple store evaluating the xr vs the Xs vs the max. I bought a 256gb max.

Compared to the iPhone 7 in the house the max screen is noticeably better to my eyes. And I probably would notice a difference with the xr also.

I caved in and bought the XS Max after I swore I wouldn’t upgrade at all. Truth be told, if the XR was out during the time of the XS/Max releases I would have probably gotten me and my mom the XR. More screen real estate was what reeled me in. In all likelihood this will probably be my last iPhone for the next two years.

First thing OP, when you're saying Zoom are you referring to 3DTouch? When you say you have to manually hit the screen on the XR are you referring to 3DTouch again? Just curious because the Xʀ does have tap to wake just like any X model iPhone. I’m just confuse to what you’re referring too exactly.

With that said, I have sitting with me in my possession the iPhone X, iPhone XS Max and iPhone X. Have had the X since launch last year and Max since launch this year. Also the Xʀ since it’s launch on October 26th. I was seriously trying to wait for the Xʀ before even attempting to get the Max, but like always launch day I had to have the Max.

That said personally I’ve been using the Xʀ everyday since it’s launch day. I thought the Max was my favorite iPhone until I got this one. For me 6.1” is a perfect size so the feel in hand is great.

Deciding main factor for me was battery life.

I had the xs max, I got curious with the Xr, sold my xs max for a really good price unlocked and got the Xr. Very satisfied, maybe next September I’ll jump on the flagship model, but for now , I’m a happy camper.
You know

You know buying the expensive max change my perspective on iPhones. Like buying $1330 (with tax) is nuts. I’m determined to hold on to my xr for a few years. It’s not about money but I need to buy apple stock and actually contribute to growing wealth rather than buying another phone that’s loses 50% of its value in 1 yr. (I’ve bought a new iPhone every year) and honestly you barely notice a difference day to day. It works the same as past iPhones.

I was truly psyched when the max arrived but after a while I’m like it does the same thing as my 8 plus but it’s more uncomfortable to hold for some reason.
