Make sure to file a report with Apple.I am having issues with my 8+ ever since iOS 12 where WiFi gets dropped repeatedly and rapidly even if I'm right next to the router. Started since I got iOS 12. Not sure if this is related but... I'm definitely blaming iOS 12 - haven't seen any others complain about this tho. (5Ghz).
Yea Wi-Fi should be consistent on upcoming 2019 2k base models, thanks for beta testing, stay strong.
I said almost no, not zero...there is certainly evidence pointing to some devices in some situations, but I feel very difficult to isolate until studied more.Zero evidence? How about this: https://www.wiwavelength.com/2018/09/iphone-xs-and-xs-max-mostly-fail-to.html
My results just now. Nothing to see here folks. ♂️

What issue? I don’t see any issue.I'm going to guess that Apple won't even acknowledge this issue.
Let me get this straight...you are calling this a faulty product because of one article? Other people have said they have great performance, better than last year. So, let me get this straight, You want Apple to release to the public a faultly product; then fix it via software updates?
Your reading comprehension is a sight to behold. Not sure how you even came to that conclusion. They were making fun of the fact that this community makes a complaint and calls it a hardware problem that can't be fixed. And then Apple iterates a new iOS version that fixes the problem relatively fast. It has nothing to do with wanting Apple to release a faulty product. So, let me get this straight, You want Apple to release to the public a faultly product; then fix it via software updates?
Just saw the searching for signal animated icon on my phone once again and my phone should have full signal. Who cares about Wifi speeds ? This is all about cellular and unreliable connections !!!!!!!
You could care less, or you wouldn't be so sensitive to such an innocuous comment from a stranger on a public forum. The word ''mess'' is not wholly defined by you and therefore I'm not subject to using it based on your requirements. I really don't care about your 'owning part of Apple' or your pom pom squad Apple signature, but I can assure you, can myself definitely say that I couldn't care less what you deem as nonsensical. But keep on keeping on there buddy... I'm sure it's all worth it somewhere in your mind.I couldn't care less...I just pointed out this isn't a "mess" until the issue is isolated, studied, and confirmed as a hardware issue.
I own part of Apple, so I am sensitive to the point I own and always sensitive to nonsense.
LOL...i just like calling people out for declaring something a mess before the facts have even been evaluated. So many posts here are so doom and gloom, I like to be the other side. You could care less, or you wouldn't be so sensitive to such an innocuous comment from a stranger on a public forum. Way too blurry to read.Okay guys. I provided examples between the Pixel 2 and the Max on the main forum before - but without photos. Here are two. One of them shows the RSRP signal values and PCI. The other shows the LTE band from Field test mode. Both are on Verizon AWS (B4). Both on PCI 139 from the same cell site. Obviously this doesn't compare them between previous iPhones... But I am definitely seeing a signal quality decrease and more drops to 3G because of it.
See link below (sorry for quality. Took pic from my iPad):

Uhhh.. Looks fine if you click on it. Not great quality - but again, from an iPad.Way too blurry to read.
Just to add to this, same thing for me... I definitely got this as well on my iPhone X shortly after iOS 12. Also not saying it means anything, like yourself just adding to the mix of variables.Just FYI: When I updated to iOS 12 on my X (note: last year's) a week ago, I immediately (after initial device restart on iOS 12) received a "carrier settings update available" message and applied it. My carrier is VZ. So, there does appear to be an iOS 12-specific carrier update from VZ. I'm just offering up another data point.
Did that with the new phones too upon activation. I have it on my X and Xs Max. The Xs max has issues where the signal is weak. Nothing to do with the carrier update.Just FYI: When I updated to iOS 12 on my X (note: last year's) a week ago, I immediately (after initial device restart on iOS 12) received a "carrier settings update available" message and applied it.
