It’s going to be a long night. I just saw on Twitter a lot of people’s phones delivery’s have been pushed through Monday the 24th.

That is 100% pure conjecture on your part based on rumors that have long been debunked by the actual facts of the average selling price per iPhone continuing to go up. The only way the ASP can go up is if Apple is selling higher priced phones. Look at Apple's sales figures over the past few years. They are selling the same number or fewer iPhones but making more money selling them. They could not do that if the X wasn't selling well.



My watch is doing good and is very close. My phone made it to Alaska finally, but then updated the status again to this:

Mine departed Alaska at 3:26 p.m. local time there. I was guessing Kentucky next as well. I just received a charging cable from Apple a couple of days ago. I mention this because it departed Kentucky at 4:28 A.M. and came directly to my city for delivery that same day. This was its journey:

I feel your pain and I'm sorry to hear that you are having these issues. I hope it works out for you.



I think it definitely means it is popular. Apple made the mistake in the first two years of the plus phones of underestimating demand. The demand for the larger size has increased each of the four years they have been available. I do not think they are making that mistake any longer.



I enjoy picking up in a store as well. However, my closest store is a three hour drive. We have typically stayed overnight when picking up in a store. Also, my experience has not been that it takes a few minutes when you are doing the iPhone Upgrade plan. It takes 15-30 minutes from the time they begin helping me.



If I remember correctly, Apple only allows delivery to the billing address of the phone number for which the iPhone is tied to. I have inquired in the past about changing my delivery to my office and was not allowed for that reason. It is for security so someone doesn't gain access and change the delivery address so they can steal your phone. Having said that, if you have UPS MyChoice (see below), they have an option for changing pickup to a UPS location or another address. That may be disabled for iPhone deliveries but it is worth a try.







TIP for finding tracking info...

I keep seeing this idea of using a trick to find your tracking number. UPS and FedEx allow you to create free accounts on their sites. UPS calls theirs MyChoice. When you create this account, you tie it to your home address. Once the account is created, you will get email notifications about upcoming deliveries and when things have been delivered (you decide on the notifications). However, you also have access to a calendar on the UPS website that shows you all upcoming deliveries and who they are from. If you click them, you will see the tracking information.

Just as reference, I only preordered with B&H because a senior editor by the name of Juli Clover added B&H to a list that you would assume she did her due diligence before posting it to the world. I received my confirmation email from B&H at 3:03am EST.

The B&H representative said that the update is that the watches will be in their inventory the first week of October. Questioning why B&H even held a pre-order, all he could say was that he doesn’t know why and he doesn’t know how new product sales are managed.

Juli, if you’re reading this, it’s too late. Do not ever add B&H Photo to your pre-order list for the hundreds of thousands of MacRumor followers to view. You have lost credibility to me, which probably doesn’t mean anything to you.

I am really sorry to hear that this is the outcome. I agree that B&H Photo should not have been listed as a pre-order site if they were not going to have day one availability. That was poor advice for the readers of this site. I'll keep sending good thoughts your way that you will get your watch as soon as possible.

I really appreciate the understanding Frank! I went ahead and cancelled my orders from B&H, and convinced myself to wait it out for a deal on the series 4. Went to the apple store today to pick up a case and it does look mighty fine!

Up until 10 minutes ago, mine was also just preparing to ship according to Apple’s website. NOW it says it shipped....... but UPS (using the method below) says my phone left Anchorage yesterday. (It said Kentucky, but then that changed back to Anchorage strangely enough)

How was I tracking it without my tracking number? Go to UPS.com, track by reference, put your 10 digit number in and choose your destination country. I bet yours is already closer than you think. I’ve done this method for the last few years and it’s accurate. If your phone number doesn’t work, use your order number and delete the last 2 digits- and remember, you have to specify the destination country.

Ok, this's gonna be unbelievable and I believe that I'm not the only one, so my delivery has been changed from the 21 to the 24
but the most ironically thing is that in the apple website they wrote:
"Delivery Rescheduled
You’ve requested a later delivery date"
I've been requested?
NO! I ordered after 2m when the pre-ordered has started
