iPhone XS Max and Apple Watch Series 4 Shipping Estimates Begin Slipping

Let’s see if someone can give me some advise.

I’m on the iPhone X on the IUP. My debate is should I say screw it and get the iPhone Xs Max ($4 more / month - not too too bad), or should I pay the x off, next year sell it and use that money towards the iPhone “whatever it will be called”?

Please don’t make this negative, if I bought this thing out right I would wait for the next version, I’m only considering because I’m on the IUP.

I would be of the opinion that you only live once - why not go for the best right now? Better photo's, faster face recognition, everything better and faster etc. You probably use your phone daily right? So for a small percentage more money, you get the best technology available for your life starting right now.

Compare the difference in money spent for someone to keep an old phone for "one more year" - They still have to pay for their cellular service plan right? Are the "savings" ever worth it when it is for a tool that you use every single day of your life?

I wanted the 64 gb Max, but I think I’m paying an extra $6 a month for the 256 model. I’d rather have more than worry about filling up.

Sounds reasonable, for $6 more per month and you get four times the storage capacity. I have a good LTE data plan and WiFi coverage in my area so my 2TB of cloud storage is not really a problem for my requirements. Plus I usually upgrade annually and the iPhone Upgrade Program is not offered in my location, I have a hard time filling 64GB of storage that I would just be wasting 256GB that is going unused.

Random question, since I’ve never preordered through Apple or the Apple Store App (I’ve always gone through my carrier store because of crashing websites and apps). When do they charge your card? I ordered an hour ago and my bank doesn’t show any charges.

Bank was just charged this morning. I suppose that means my watch is enroute to my Apple Store in time for my Friday pickup appointment.

My CC was charged on 14 Sep and it has been at preparing to ship since 15 Sep. I suspect it will have a shipped label late tue or sometime wed. The inventory is probably sitting in some secure warehouse.
