iPhone XS Max iPhone XS Max Owners Upgrading: 11 Pro (Max?) or 5.8-inch this year?

Hey everyone, that time of the year again!

I currently have an iPhone XS Max and am planning on upgrading, and I wanted to see how many people are actually going back or to the 5.8-inch model this year. I don't have the biggest hands in the world but I was always able to make the XS Max work one-handed, but in owning an iPhone X prior, I'm sort of realizing how much I missed the pocket friendly size and usability.

Does anyone who has a iPhone XS Max think about going to 5.8-inch model this year? Or are you sticking with the bigger iPhone 11 model?
 
I am, I always wanted silver but didn’t want to wait a week so I grabbed space gray on launch. I picked up a SS s4 and now I need my phone to match. Plus new cases and now I can finally get silver! (Xs max to 11pro max)

If I were to upgrade this year it would be to a phone that’s no narrower than my XS Max, it could be shorter but not narrower. Of course as they no longer make 16:9 screens, I’ll be staying with my current phone for a few more years.

Not downsizing, the only question for me coming from my max is what color will I get in the larger version. If it’s frosted glass that might make me change from the black
 
Think I may just wait another year for the first time. Even though I’m tempted to go back to Space Gray, I don’t think that’s enough to justify an upgrade. But I’m crazy so we’ll just see how the keynote plays out.

I’m also planning to upgrade and downsize. I have switched back from Max to X as a test to decide. And it suits me better. Now I can reach the left side of the phone without any difficulty. On the Max it was a hazardous move.
I only miss the Max battery life.

I may downsize to the 11r.

Although it likely won’t have the new duper camera, it will have the A13 chip. It’s also smaller than my current XS Max, but not as small as the XS, which I believe would suit me better.

Will wait and see.

Same here. I bought (rented) a Max on the iUP in January so unless there’s some big price spike I’ll get the Pro Max or whatever they call it in January.
 
Yeah I have a Max on the IUP. Screen size is great but just a bit unwieldly. My old 6+ was manageable one-handed due to the screen not actually being that tall, but this is definitely a two-handed device.

Still not 100% sure, but leaning towards going back to a 5.8" iPhone.

Definitely downsizing. Going to give my max to my wife :) Max should be carried in a purse.
 
Max now, if I do upgrade this year it will be for the Max version whatever it’s called. I can’t go back to a smaller sized phone. Between the screen size and the battery life, it’s the perfect phone for my needs.

I’m in wait and see mode. There are times where I hate the size of my max and times when I love it so I’m still up in the air right now.

im leaning toward downsizing though.
