For the first time in a long time I think I'm going to just keep my Max don't see anything really worth spending my money on. Its actually kind of sad because I like upgrading, nothing to look forward too.

I've had the X 5.8, XS 5.8 and now I have the XR so I think if I do upgrade it'll most likely be to the 11 Pro 5.8, I miss the smaller size.

Waiting to see the keynote to see if the reception will be better on this year’s iPhone before making my final decision to upgrade. I have the XS Max and would get the Pro Max in silver or gold.
Not this year, sadly. Next year Apple is going to use Qualcomm's best of their high-end modem technology since they recently signed an agreement.

I expect lots of quite big changes and great improvements for the 2020 iPhone.

That is actually my most-wanted update for the iPhone. I'm on VZW and haven't had decent reception since I got my iPhone 7 with an Intel modem.

Same. Typing on my iPhone 7 right now.

Can someone just switch to 2020 puh-lease? I really cannot wait for next year's iPhones.

See this is so strange I just switched to Verizon and my reception on my Xs Max is fantastic. No one else can even pull 1 bar at my house and I’m consistently at 4-5 bars there with LTE faster than my home WiFi

ISP-based better reception is one thing, Apple's modems (or rather Intel/Infineon's) however have some weaknesses compared to Qualcomms already available modem SoCs on the market right now.

2020 iPhones should easily outclass everything (if they do not mess up their antennas again) since Apple started using Intel. Should not even be a fair contest.

If you add 5G and all other rumored changes, we better have 2020 tomorrow, so totally anxious for next year's event, tomorrow will probably be pretty boring. Let's hope there are still some surprises for this year.

Not downsizing, the only question for me coming from my max is what color will I get in the larger version. If it’s frosted glass that might make me change from the black
Am I the only one who doesn’t get this whole frosted glass thing? I just can’t envisage how that’s going to be an improvement, visually at least, on the current design.

It's just because its new/different.
[doublepost=1568066043][/doublepost]I'll actually be upgrading from an Xs to the Pro Max. Need the extra battery life since ill be using my personal phone with my work sim.

Used the IUP to get the Max and now going back to 5.8. I’ve been wanting to go back since then. Can’t wait. No matter what is new, missing, or whatever, I’m getting it and going smaller!

I only have an 8 Plus, but when I do eventually upgrade I will once again be going for the largest size. The X/XS are too narrow in comparison.

I've had X and XS phones slide around when they vibrate because the rear glass is so slick. I can easily imagine a phone vibrating itself off a table or desk and breaking, so maybe the matte glass is intended to reduce phones sliding around - just a WAG.

For me, the 6/6S/7/8 Plus phones were never really persuasive. They didn't feel like they offered enough display for their overall size. The XS Max completely persuaded me, though. You'll really like the Max size, I think.

I most certainly will. I’ve spent a fair bit of time with it in the Apple Stores and think they are great. I still love my 8 Plus but if it blew up tomorrow I wouldn’t hesitate in upgrading to Max/Pro Max.

I upsized from the XS and am not looking back.

I know they’re not going to use Qualcomm this year, but maybe this year’s Intel modem will have better reception. One can only hope.
