DisplayMate reviews are always glowing and is now being made fun of even on Samsung forums....where are we at now? A++++++? LOL
Frankly, i trust Anandtech and XDA.
I don’t know about S10...waiting for Anandtech and XDA to review it.
But Pixel 3? Nah...read this extensive review:
https://www.xda-developers.com/goog...gible-improvement-yet-still-behind-the-curve/
Pixel 3 is not even close.
Add in iPhone native wide color support and OS wide color management...and iPhone remains class leader (pending S10 review).
"We would give the
Galaxy Note 9 an A rating: Very good brightness with high brightness mode, great gamma control, photos app has some color management. But, it still has black clipping, and we found the color accuracy in the calibrated profiles to not be too impressive. The
iPhone X and the iPhone Xs both receive A+ ratings: It has a stellar manual brightness range without utilizing high brightness mode, zero black clipping over its 8-bit intensity range, smart PWM control, the best color accuracy we have measured, good gamma control, and excellent color management with an OS that utilizes wide color. These very noticeable and experience-affecting differences allow it to pull ahead of the Note 9 based on the qualities of the display and how its software handles it...."
Pixel 3 and XS trades punches according to camera reviews. Some prefer XS ultra-wide dynamic range....other prefer the high contrast pics of P3. But, when you add in VIDEO CAPABILITY, the XS is far more flexible camera system than Pixel 3.
You missed my point (again). You talk about Huawei 10x zoom, but you did not realize that it has no OIS on any of its lenses. You talk about Pixel 3 camera, but you did not realize that it has probably one of the worst video capability for a flagship.
Samsung camera do have OIS (but not on super wide angle i think)...true...but it has compromises elsewhere...inferior processor, inferior biometrics, inferior support aftersales, inferior (actually horrendous) resale value, etc..
The wide angle of S10 does have a lot of distortion esp at the edges in any of pics...and is just bad in anything less than sunlight. Bad lens quality and super tiny sensor. So, yeah, i guess if you’re outside in sunlight and want to get a wider picture, then it might be useful...but then you have to post-edit it to correct the distortion and then apply HDR post to correct for blown out highlights.
Again, for you to make the point of Android superior hardware, you cannot name me ONE Android device that has all of them.
Yet, the device that you are using.......has all of it. But oh no, you look on the other side of the fence thinking how green it is over there. Heck, you even think DEX is the greatest thing since slice bread......even though it is now being thrown in the trash by Samsung....
