If the pixels don't show up In any video or picture and does not show up in proper light slo mo then this is not really an issue

My "hot" pixel even shows when well lit. Really disappointed. Think I am gonna return my 2 6+'s and set this year out with Apple. Highly doubt if returning them is going to fix it. I think most all of the phones are doing it.

Can you show an example of it in video or picture form ?

We must get an official response as apple replied to bend-gate. Mac Rumors must post in on first page!!!

In slow motion mode?

----------

After talking with Apple chat they told me that some users after restoring snd set as new, they don't face the problem yet. Is this possible?

Yeah, in Slow Motion. But since I have a perfectly working phone, I won't exchange it for that.

From a quick google search of the symptoms, it sounds like you're seeing "hot pixels".

If that is what you're seeing, then it's apparently completely normal to see these at higher ISO settings, even on an expensive DSLR. From what I read the other day, the iPhone does switch to a much higher ISO to record in slo-mo.

So, before you start ripping off screen protectors and returning your devices, it may be worth googling "hot pixels", just to see if that's what you're experiencing.

I see what you are saying. I just tried to record something in a medium lit room (bedroom with cloudy day light). I can clearly the two spot (which was previously the bad spot when I cover the lens). In the video you can clearly see two visible spot blinking. It's quite noticeable. Are you saying the slow mode should only be done in a clear day light like situation? And we should expect hot spots like this when doing slow mode under any other situation?

Just want to put it out there as part of the discussion. I'm honestly not that concerned. If it turns out to be an problem I can always go in for a replacement.

Does it show up in normal slo mo or any video or any picture ?
If by 'normal slo mo' you mean 120 FPS, then yes, it shows up the same as the 240 FPS. In picture mode, I guess you could make out similar pixels but they appear much more blended or blurred in with the picture. I think that's normal.

Depends.

Are you regularly filming the mating rituals of bats in slow mo inside a cave?

If so then....yes you have a big deal.

I understand your stance. So you are saying this is normal and that "hot pixels" in slow mo are no big deal? Because I see it in both on my 6+'s even in a decently lit room...?

Iphone6+ defective camerasensor pixel in 120fps mode - watch out

If there are iphone without the problem then yes is a big deal. This is one of the most advertised feature that new iPhone has. But for some of us is not working properly!

I see the hot pixel in daylight also!!! My question is what options I have now?

Sigh...I've already gone through multiple iphone 6's due to dead pixels, scratch under the screen, a scuff on the bottom, and a faulty ear speaker on one. My current one finally is flawless and now I stumble into this thread, lol. Tested this and I have 3 'hot' pixels in slo-mo mode. I did set up phone as new. I'm not bothered by this at all and honestly after all the time I've wasted inspecting my phones and waiting at Apple store, and finally getting a perfect one in my mind, it's just not worth it. I've shot maybe 15 minutes of video on phones over the last 5 years, and don't plan to use the slo-mo feature ever. A store manager almost refused to exchange my last phone that hadn't yet left the store and had a clear 2-3mm scratch under the screen PLUS a scuff on bottom, stating it doesn't affect functionality of phone at all and purely cosmetic (wow...) but allowed it since I had been waiting in line and did a retail swap. I can't see many stores taking multiple returns or exchanges for this issue given my experience above? Even though you guys with issues are probably in the right. This is really nitpicking for those of you who really will never use the feature- which is most of you, myself included. Be happy if you get a flawless screen and scuff-free working phone and call it a day.

Check carefully on the center of the image. Mine are visible on proper light also

Still don't see it on my iMac. I'm not saying it isn't there, just not visible on my computer.

Is the hot pixel on the wall? Seems to disappear behind the smoke.
