Tim cook said iphone x will avail some in store in launch day...

pickup will have higher chance

Hi all ... I just spent 30 minute and figure out this Math might help us feel relax and not concerning out of stock on preorder day ....

- 3.000.000 iphone x will shipment from Fox Com nov 3rd
- 500 apple store retail worldwild

(Estimate) >> apple will divide for every store amount 500 of 3,000,000 )

3,000,000 * 500 = 6,000 iphone x avail >> >> each store

6,000 avail for preorder each retailer store

_______________________________

Mchigan state = 9,000,000 population totally

9,000 people let say max 2,000,000 will care iphone purchased

2,000,000 * 6,000 = estimate approx >> ( 300 )

_______________________________

Totally = ::::::: 300 iphone X :::::

_______________________________

So michigan my state live has around 4 apple store

300*4 = :::: 75 iphone X :::::

==========================

75 iphone X divide for 2 size 64gb/256gb = :::::: 37 each :::::

==========================

::::: 37 iphone X :::::::

Who agree my math ????

this is my guess math and i understand isnt sure if stock count like my way
but i think this should help us know how going on now ......

whoever interesting my math idea can used it and calculate where your area could help for hope ,

Thanks for join /🙂

This is exactly the kind of post I wanted to see, something with math and probability.
If you were applying to Google, I would hire you. (just make sure you get your division signs in place instead of multiplication 😵)

Now if you could account for the pre-orders online, that would help make this a better estimate!

i wouldn't be surprised if Apple manufactures launch day iphone 10s all the way up to Nov. 1....they do a LOT of just in time manufacturing and shipping....

isnt there a way to see when your phone was made?

Yes, but perhaps the person should get better at that language before using it on a global forum like MR? It's extremely hard to understand what this person is saying, and I have seen his other posts, same issue. It's honestly quite annoying reading broken English like that.

He could just write it in his native language and do a Google Translate, and I am sure it will come out better than him writing in that language in the first place, and it would be easier to read and understand.

What a rude and ignorant comment. I get YOU speak and write perfect English. Just because the OP doesn't does not mean they should be either ridiculed by you or banished to a Forum that only caters for their language.

The WORLD is universal, as is this site. It's not your own personal domain.

Everybody is missing the biggest mistake of all...the math doesn’t even mention online direct-to-home orders, which are going to be the majority by far. Apple only relegates a small amount of devices to retail stores, the vast majority go to the online store for shipment directly to the purchaser. And that doesn’t sell out at all, shipments just get delayed.

But that doesn't guarantee any location specifically what Store Cook is referring to. There are thousands of Apple stores and all of them will vary for available stock on the iPhone X. He can't speak for every specific store, that was a generalized comment.

No, I am not being an ******. I am simply pointing out a fact. Perhaps he can take extra time when writing down something and make sure the English is correct (I am not saying it should be perfect), before posting, instead of hastily typing in broken English which makes what he saying difficult to comprehend without careful reading.
I had zero issues understanding him. Perhaps you’re simply not as intelligent as you think you are.

I checked with Einstein and he said your math doesn't check out and you should pre order a calculator instead 😵
But he did say well done for the attempt and good luck for tomorrow 🙂

Awful english, and also your entire math is wrong because you made one wrong assumption at the very beginning:

Apple doesn't split phones like that. Phones are split depending on city population, how many iPhone users in that city, past iPhone sales (unlocked, iUP, etc), etc. Each store DOES NOT get the same amount of stock as others. The stock stores receive depends on many variables.

Also, Apple wont be sending all it's stock to its own retail stores. Some of the stock will be going to carriers and independent retailers.

Awful english indeed...

Indeed. Some stores might have only 3 units and that’s it.

If you aren’t first in line, you really are taking your chances. I’d rather just order online and call it a day.

I have a feeling after iphone X apple will bring all notch to ipad and apple watch / >>>

How is anyone going to securely checkout in 60 seconds? You have to choose shipping, etc. Buying full price or pre-approved, you still have to choose shipping, etc. I can see maybe 2 mins full checkout.

Well either shipping or pick a time window. But if you practice u can get it to about a min...

Yes i'll be paying in full, i guess that cuts out a bit of time, which would be great news for me. I'm guessing the people buying outright is a small % of the overall, and a huge % are going through carrier upgrade. I will do another dry run tonight to confirm the time. I wasn't exactly super strict with the timing.

Yes it does cut out, the trade in review and plan selection pages... but ya not worried about those since as a whole won’t be as much as other..
