Your logic makes perfect sense to me, as long as the pricing 'fits'. Why deprive everyone who DOESN'T need a phone of the great non-phone features of the iPhone?

Everyone is hoping for new iPods starting at $299. But that could only be for a non-Wifi model. I hope there are wifi models as well with all the bells and whistles, those will start around $400 or so.

I too want models that start at around $400 and give us all the bells and whistles. I'm expecting to pay at least $499 for the device i'm hoping for.
