iPod touch iPod Touch is stuck on the Apple logo

Mrtz42: if it is showing the connect to iTunes: JUST CONNECT TO ITUNES AMD SET IT UP!!! It will work just fine. Come on guys.

My iPod iTurned It On n Ive Had It Fo Awhile Never Had A Problem So iTurn It On Blah Blah I Usin It n iGet This Pop Up Thingie That Says Instal Upgrade i Clicked Installl Then It Turned Off. i Turned It On And i Waited n Waited Hour Passed Nunn Its Stuck On The Apple Logo Its Connected To My Computer n When iDisconnected It Sayd It Doesent Have Any Battery iCalled Best buy n They Told me To restore It Buhh My Computer Wnt Read The iPod Pleaseee Helpp Me !!! i Reallly need My iPodd! Pleasee Helppp!! Ive Tried Everything Even The Solution You Talking Bouht n Nunn Someonee Pleasee helpp!!! :(
 
can`t reboot

i need help when i tried to delete cydia off my ipodtouch it turn off and never turnt back on so what do i do so please reply back asap!!!!!! also the only thing that it showing is the white apple logo and it just sit and turns off and thens turns back on to the apple logo sp please reply asap!!!!!
 
My screen is stuck on the lock screen. I have done the reset and the restore but it still reboots and and comes back to the home screen with the slide lock and is unresponsive.
 
One problem.....

WELLL MY HOME BUTTON IS BROKEN!!!!! I seriosly cant do this with out d home button:(:(:( is there anywy i cn do dis widout d h button???? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I MEAN HOLDING THE HOME BUTTON AND LOK BUTON. OH MAN...... this i can not do by mark74THE SOLUTION

1: PLUG YOUR IPOD INTO YOUR COMPUTER!!!


2: HOLD THE "HOLD" AND THE "MENU" BUTTON UNTIL THE TOUCH'S SCREEN GOES BLACK AND SHOWS THE APPLE LOGO AGAIN THEN RELEASE THE BUTTONS!!!


3: WAIT ABOUT 5-15 MINUTES!!!


4: YOUR COMPUTER WILL MAKE A "CHIME" SOUND AND THEN THE IPOD WILL SHOW THE LOCKED SCREEN WITH THE BATTERY LOGO...

This works every time for me when my ipod crashes, the screen is stuck on the apple logo or if the screen goes white...

ipod 2nd gen is stuck on the apple logo. problem is its jailbroken and is stuck on a "skull" logo and has not moved. when i attach to itunes the device does not show up.:mad: helllpppp??
 
try this...

hold the lok buton and home buton for bout 15 secs and it should restart... try that! good luck. not for me... p.s. did you use red snow cause that could lead to a explanation...yes, yes it could... just tell me what u jail breaked it with i can probabaly help u...

Hey for those who couldn't fix their ipod using the suggested methods try using the method from here >http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=1034 it works..I just tried it out since I could not fix my ipod using the suggested method either. It might take a few tries before you get to the recovery mode and its not always a black screen sometimes it will appear with the screen saying connect to itunes. Hope you get to fix your ipod :) If you need any help feel free to ask me
 
hi my ipod was jailbroken. recently it didnt startup properly. previously my home button was spoilt
and i sentt it for service at sapura. and does this mean they will find that its jailbroken? and if they find out what happens?

ok guys, i have tried everything that is on this thread, but nothing works...i get the apple logo with a loading disc, i spins for a sec and then stops....thats it, itunes does not see it, the computer does not see it, from time to time it resets and goes again...other thing to mention is that the battery logo comes up...tried it on full charge and still nothing, is the ipod dead or not? by the way i believe it to be an ipod touch 1st gen 8gb..thanks in advance :)

It worked for me, the sad thing is that it already happened before i even put anything onto my ipod touch... £180 brand new... shocking to be honest =\
 
my itouch has the same problem, except when i plug it into the computer it doesnt show up in itunes, and the sleep button doesnt work, so i cant put it in dfu mode. is there anything else i can do or am i out of luck?
 
Don't waste money on Apple tech support

We just spend 3 hours on the phone with tech support going in a circle and never resolved the issue!! Nor did the tips in this thread. It was locked real good. So we marched it up to 'BestBuy' and the Geek squad took it under their wing and fixed it in 1/2 hour. Total cost $29.99 ...total relief 100% . I am just really glad I didn't waste money paying Apple for that call to tech support. I am glad we were still under the 90day free support because they were completely useless in resolving our issue.

try resetting it by holding gown the home and the lock button until it turns off and then let it go. hope it helped!!

Thanks! I tried the other technique where I had to hold the Power and Hold button while having IPod plus up to USB and iTunes was also up. I saw later I need to restore in iTunes. Your steps was what I was looking for!

Won't work

hi

If I turn on iTunes, the iPod is simply not recognized and i get one error message after the other from iTunes. I already reinstalled itunes but it won't work. I think I am in deep dough ...
