What i don't understand is that it seems some people already received theirs (Apple japan support discussions), whereas they said they would ship them in the same order orders were placed.. i ordered mine on the first day...:confused::confused:

Apple told me that they had been shipping them for over 2 weeks. I didn't order until the 13th, but they promised me that I would be in the first group of shipments. Either way WHERE ARE OUR TOUCHES!
 
Well my order status page was last update on the 26th when it said canceled as I stated above. My order is not canceled, but I can't find out the status online. 03sho are you in Japan? They Apple Store Japan runs a little differently here.
 
I just talked to a guy who works in the ginza apple store.

he said they would have display models and all that good stuff... in a *month*.

so, don't get your hopes up too high about just waltzing into the store and grabbing one...
 
Went yesterday to Apple store in Shinsaibashi Osaka - no Touch there and same mention here "some time in October". Apple phone line says "two weeks" if you order now. I rather try my luck and hunt today in Kobe :) Anybody successful in Kansai?

OK I gave up - all stores say it might take weeks until they get stock. Ordered through apple phone order system and they said it takes about 10 days .... waiting time :rolleyes:

I got the same answer. Wondering why this seems to take longuer time in Japan than other countries. :confused:
 
Stores Checked

I checked the following stores today and they didn't have them:

Yodobashi Camera - Yokohama
Bic Camera - Fujisawa
Apple Store - Shibuya
 
So I just got an update from Apple about an hour ago. They moved my delivery date back to the 5th. I am going to call and complain tomorrow and find out why I don't have a real tracking number. I am also going to try and get a free wall charger and A/V pack if my ipod is in fact not coming until Friday. I leave for 22 days in the Philippines this weekend and I better have it for my trip!

Well, if ordered early enough you would have it already. I have seen the first ones in other Mac Geek hands already and they even arrived even in the week ahead of the 28th. So I just decided too late, hoping they would arrive in retail faster vs. phone order.
