I was convinced that “tweet” was fake when I heard about it, and the mainstream media was pretty slow to report on it. I think they delayed to ensure it was real, and the account was not hacked. Even for Trump, that post is bizarre.

It shows how much he is panicking right now, because his bullying tactics isn’t working. Iran essentially answered his threat with “Yeah? Bring it on, ************”. He’s realizing how close he is to having to choose between two catastrophic options: pulling out, or pulling through and bombing Iran to smithereens. Which means, say hi to 8$ a gallon.

We will see on Tuesday how he’s going to TACO himself out of this one.
TACO time in T-minus 12 hours - Donnieboy has diapers to fill and golf courses to cheat on.

I think it would be a good thing if Trump backs down? Taunting him for being too cowardly to commit a bunch of war crimes feels counterproductive.

Selfishly I’d prefer he take the path that doesn’t involve blowing up 20% of the world’s oil tomorrow.

Of course.

I can only speak for myself: I’m not taunting him for being too cowardly to bomb Iran to smithereens, but for making the threat in the first place. This is not how a POTUS should behave, it is behaviour we expect from the leader of North Korea. I’m mostly frustrated that it took Iran to stand up to him and expose his overreaching tactics. EU had the chance of doing that several times already, rather than settling agreements in the 11th hour that Trump will then promptly ignore. Give a bully your lunch today, and you’ll have to do it again tomorrow.

What I expect will happen today is that Trump will make up some claim about diplomatic progress that would have been impossible if he was not president, and stand down.

Unfortunately, killing thousands of people just to get the gas price down ahead of elections is exactly the behaviour we've come to expect of one country in the world, and it's not North Korea. They used to be crafty about it, but Trump has no filter and says exactly what he's thinking, or been told to think. It's nice he's finally found an actual objective for his stupid war, it's just a shame, but not a surprise, that it's basically reversing the financial mess he's dumped on himself and his billionaire buddies.

Around three hours ago, Trump made a post on his social media page, which sounds like he is threatening to drop a nuclear bomb on Iran. I hope with every fiber of my being that I am wrong about that. Here's what that psychopath said:

Just rememer that is what Tim Cook donated money to. Don't believe Cook if he tries to go into damage-control mode afterward if Trump does something horrific.

You’re forgetting what Dementia Donnie’s favorite food is: TACOs.

I sure hope this is the most epic TACO TUESDAY ever.

Nobody, for any reason, should be threatening to destroy an entire civilization.

I don't understand the logic behind still defending the guy at this point. Give it up, Trump played everyone who voted for him.

I'm really concerned of what's going to happen tonight. He needs to go.
If you believe trump needs to go then Election Day should be a great day. Otherwise we are all entitled to our opinions and to vote for the candidate of our choice.

And, you might have to change the US constitution, taking away the dictatorial powers of the president. Right now, there's one who is going crazy.

Trump isn’t going anywhere, imo, until his term ends. Want to change the constitution. Sure, make it happen.

That means the Americans don't have any rights, even though you call yourselves as free people. Just because you have arms, you can't threaten another civilisation, to threaten to destroy it. That's utter madness!
You mean like other civilizations have done to us in the past? But unlike Trump they weren’t faking it.
