Thanks, guess I need to see them at the store to get a good idea.
I would like to save the 300 as I am taking a hit.

I have heart trouble and would love to get the watch as I heard good things about it monitoring it.

Why did you switch away? Trying out something new? Why didn’t Android work out?

(Just wondering.)

Hope things go well. Apple Watch only measures heart rate and can take an EKG, nothing more useful than that.

I had the 11 Pro since it was released and my wife recently got the 11. She didn't like the size of the phone so I ended up trading her.

I can't tell the difference on most of the stuff, even the size. The only real difference I can tell is the blacks on the 11 Pro is better, but it doesn't bother me enough to justify the $300 difference. Appearance wise, I think the back glass on the 11 Pro looks very nice, but again not worth the $300 difference.

Everyone takes photos. Everyone should have the best camera possible. The iPhone 11 Pro camera system is the best in the world. So yes, it's totally worth a few extra bucks going "Pro".
the only thing 11 pro have over 11 is 10x zoom, 2x digital zoom vs physical zoom on the pro almost no difference, and for night mode, only the main camera shoots it.

i went with the 11 and got my brother a apple watch series 4 for 240 used. if you use a case you wont miss the stainless steel on the pro, as for the camera, 2x digital vs 2x physical, i cant tell the difference, unless you want 10x zoom cause 11 only goes up 5x

The screen makes a world of difference. Sure the camera differences aren't substantial, but the vivid screen on the Pros lets you touch up photos, videos, see the results more realistically,...

there is some difference but not as drastic imo, i went from x to 11, after 30 mins didnt even notice its not oled. the lcd on the 11 is pretty fantastic, under the sun i can read all the text perfectly, only at night watching youtube vids do i notice some clear contrast between oled and lcd.

I switched from 2 OLED Android phones that I used 2012-2019 to an iPhone 7. I honestly can't say I'm horrified by the display, despite it not being OLED. People are turning this whole thing into something way bigger than it is. A good display is a good display. Also, my last phone (Nexus 6p) had 2560x1440 while the iPhone 7 has about a quarter of those pixels. Can't see the difference. Perhaps if I would wear my reading glasses and start studying it but hey, I'm here to use the phone, not to use it as a study object. I've got better things to do.
Now, the camera is a different matter. I like the idea of getting a tele a lot. But worth €300? No, I voted it isn't worth it. And as for size, well, everything's smaller than the Nexus 6p :)

I forgot to mention but I didn’t see any difference in download speeds over LTE. The Pro is suppose to be noticeably better.

IMO overall nothing is noticeably better that can justify the price difference. I originally went with the Pro solely for the smaller size. Moving up in size to the 11 isn’t drastic. It reminds me of the iPhone 4 vs 5 vs 6 upsizing.

Get the 11 if you wanna save some cash now, and then sell it before the 2020 iPhone with the OLED display

Hello,

I miss having the iPhone, have Apple TV, Macbook Air.
It's going to cost me some money as I have to payoff the Pixel 4XL.
Nothing wrong with the Pixel, Verizon says they will give me 395 off the iphone.

Should I purchase the iPhone 11 to save 300.00?
Or is the pro worth it.

I plan on getting an Apple Watch also at some point.

Thanks
Just wait see what 12 brings and watch is a waste you have to charge it just buy nice Seiko watch or similar
If rushing then get the smaller pro as larger phones look like bricks

That's not true at all. Apple Watch provides all sorts of alerts for heart rate (low, high, irregular).
Those are all deceiving

I use the 2 x Zoom on my 11 pro all the time, takes much clearer photo than the pinch zoom on the Xr/11, i had a Xr for 8 months, especially when blown up bigger pinch zoom is crap.

I’m not sure if I’d miss the telephoto option or not on my iPhone? I do use it from time to time when taking pictures at work in rather dangerous tests, but in the grand scheme it’s probably only about 3% of my photos require a x2 optical zoom. I’m sure I’d be happy to adapt and walk closer if I really missed it lol. It’s one of those things that is nice to have, but subjective whether it’s essential or not. I just want a sensibly priced iPhone with enough of a decent package to justify the cost. I could never justify paying a grand for a phone unless I was keeping it at least 3 years and would sooner buy a mid tier iPhone or last years I think.

Walking closer if you are taking a scenery photo doesn't work lol, sure if its a person or object.

I prefer a wider angle with scenery personally and if I’m using my Canon 5DMkIV i’ll use a 10mm fixed. On my phone I tend not to mess too much zooming, just take unzoomed and crop if necessary. Each to their own of course.

People need to go onto Apple compare phones and see the differences, in screen, water resistance, camera/video, stainless steel. Plenty of value for $300.

Only reason to buy a 11 over a 11 pro is if you want bigger screen but don't want the max.

The cheapest 11 here is $1200, at least $200 over priced imo.

That’s good advice and I think is why the iPhone 11 is so popular. When scrolling down the spec list it’s abundantly clear how close the 11 Pro and 11 are in terms of what they offer. The screen, telephoto lens, extra 2m of water resistance, and a stainless steel edge are virtually the only differences. The iPhone 11 on that basis is bloody good value for money.
