I got the 8 plus because I needed a new phone ASAP and couldn’t wait a couple more months. I destroyed my 6 Plus like an hour before they announced the Apple Keynote, so I held on for that and then held on for the actual delivery of the 8 Plus, but that was as much as I could stand. Otherwise, I would have gotten the X. That said, I’m perfectly happy with my 8 Plus. It still feels like my pretty, shiny new toy, with my great big screen I love. I don’t mind sitting out until the app developers figure out how to optimize everything for the dimensions of the X. Next year, I might get an X Plus if they come out with one. But maybe not... I really am enjoying the 8 Plus. Maybe the extra dimensions aren’t as big a deal for women, because we are less likely to carry our phones in our pockets and more likely to carry them in a purse/bag?
For sure, if I was a woman and carried around a bag, I would get the X plus for sure. Right now, I have my GF carry all my crap when we go out (Keys, Wallet, Sunglasses, Readers, etc.). My comments about the 8+ being too damn big are meant for men I guess. Maybe I will get a man purse ;-)

I wasn't referring specifically to you, more the people that post vapor about it without trying it. I had had zero issues and I still have the switch on where it has to see my eyes. I would imagine if one shuts that off, it is like butter.

I get what you mean, people shouldn’t bash it before they try it. But I switched off the feature where i have to pay attention to it to unlock on day 2. Still I have to put the code in, or lock the phone and try again, more than I ever did with Touch ID. I tried re-scanning my face, but:
- I still have to adjust the phone in perfect distance to my face (I often pull my phone up too close to my face if I’m laying down)
-lift my head fully off the pillow if I’m laying on my side in bed to unlock the phone (pillow is in the way)
- in cold weather having to pull down my scarf because it covers part of my chin just to view my playlist etc, or just giving up and putting in my code - again!
It’s those little things that add up over time that infuriates me and made me miss Touch ID.

You’re not wrong there. We have a 6 Plus as a company phone where I work for use between the office and shop floor. It’s a pain in the backside to carry in your pocket and sticks out. If you crouch down it works it’s way out lol.

My wife got issued a 6S Plus in October 2015 as a company phone. She’s an SE user as she hated her original iPhone 6 as she has very small hands. Using one handed as a mother often carrying a baby is a must for her. The 6S Plus is still in her desk drawer and in its original cellophane, completely unopened. Huge smartphones don’t appeal to everyone. We’ll be selling it soon as her place give all senior managers first dibs on the old iPhones and iPads. We’ve got a bunch of iPad Airs ready to sell already lol.

I guess in full honestly I have a couple of those too. Yesterday I wore my Patriots knit snow hat. Didn’t seem to like that but I hope it learned from it. The other thing is lying flat on a table. It appears you can’t look straight down at it with it on the table. You must pick it up. Small things for me.
