Disagree. I've never seen a male with a white iPhone. Just can't imagine why someone would have one.

You must live and stay in a cave? :D I have had both black and white iPhones and iPads and it has never effected my gender. Also I have seen and know of several males with white, several males with black, several females with white and several females with black. You really should get out of the cave more often.

I never understood when white became a female color. It's the most non gender color there is. Then again I don't associate any colors with gender. I'm a straight, married male wih kids and I wear pink sometimes. Oh noes!

Apple Watch could end up being the only decent smart watch for women or anyone with small wrists. All the Android OEMs are tripping over themselves to make watches that look exactly like traditional watches. But in order to cover the bezel and provide enough real estate to fit text on the screen the round display ends up being quite large. Much too large for my petite female wrist. Watch could end up being unique precisely because it isn't round. Pretty soon all of these Android OEM watches are going to look very similar. Apple will be completely different. And because Apple does its own thing they're not sharing the same space with their comoetitors. They get a whole day to themselves whereas everyone at MWC are sharing the same space and all vying for the media's attention at the same time.

I have a a small wrist (female). I'm still going 42mm. I love the chunky watches. I have a few watches now that are 42mm that I love. I like them big as long is isn't bulky looking.

38mm is for females. But if it works for ya go for it. 6 months later u will be hating ur choice .

how many people in the thread actually wear watches? if you've worn watches for the past 10+ years, you know 38mm is just too small for a guy. i'm taking it that most people here don't wear a watch and have no fashion sense in watches these days. just saying.

We've been thru this one.

I actually replied to this one. Nope the white iPhone is not for women of course, we know that.

However, I bet you, on average if you looked at the whole numbers, more women would, and have bought the white, and probably the white and gold iPhone than the Black model.

That's hardly surprising is it?

I would expect more women would chose a white car over a black car on average also.

So, no, white watch is not made for women, but it will probably appeal to women more than a black watch will.

When I first got the white iPhone people gave me crap over it saying it was marketed towards women and too feminine.

When the next iPhone rolled out, many of those same people bought one. Overtime I have found a great balance of color of phone vs gender.

I personally think the whole thing is silly. Get whatever color or size you want and thats that. Don't need to justify it.

LOL, this is so ridiculous ... they are EVERYWHERE.

Re watch size

Hate to burst your bubble, but not everyone thinks that good looking watches start and finish with the biggest you can get. Some of the massive ones I see on some men make me cringe. Smaller and more subtle for me almost every time.

I will reserve judgement on the apple watch once I have seen it on my own wrist, but I would expect to prefer the smaller one.

More like 38mm is too large for most women. The watch my husband wears is a 32mm.

And just because some guys wear huge watches, doesn't mean they have fashion sense. I cringe when I see a large watch on a guy but that is up to them.

I compared the cutouts of the Apple Watch found on the Internet to my 5 year old basic cheapo Timex, expecting AW to seem huge. The Timex is a comfy size, and not at all gaudy. What I found is my Timex is actually taller, wider, and thicker than the 42mm AW. This shocked me, and now has me comfortable with either size.

For the record, a white iPad or iPhone is not meant for women...it's meant for anyone that wants to be able to easily find their phone in a dark room. At least that's why I choose white!

The bigger size is nowhere near oversized.

I've seen people post cutouts of the 42mm and none of them I thought looked good, they did look oversized. But it is their money and their choice. I understand some people may want more screen space so a 42mm may be popular for that reason but that doesn't mean it looks good on them.
