Zero issues here (on 4 differing machines, both PPC and Intel). Everything works just fine...

Frankly, Leopard is the smoothest OS upgrade I've ever done...

Very happy here too - I've upgraded on all 4 of my Macs and they are all running perfectly :D

happy, no doubt

Like the look, apps open faster (seem snappier  , sorry had to).

Haven't had one problem...knock knock knock.

Spaces and quick look make it worth the $100 by themselves.

Love Leopard.

I hate Stacks (with a passion!!!!!!!) but love Spaces and the faster app loading times. Overall, Leopard is fantastic - now if only they'd give us back usable folders in the dock.

I went through hell trying an upgrade install on the Leopard release date before anyone knew that APE was behind the blue screen lockup at the login screen but since then have not had any complaints at all about Leopard. It boots, runs and shuts down faster and I, for one, like the UI changes from Tiger. I agree with those that find no use for Stacks but love Spaces and use it regularly.

I also love Time Machine. All in all Leopard was well worth the purchase for me.

I have been underwhelmed with the main features of Leopard (Time Machine drive can't be boot disk, Stacks doesn't work well for folders with more than a handful of files, does anyone really use Spaces). On the other hand, the little features are wonderful time savers. QuickView is worth its weight in gold, I love the file name change default to everything before the .xxx, and not having to select the iDisk before accessing its content is wonderful. These little features make Leopard well worth the money.

Some people, presumably just the vocal minority have problems with Leopard. I'm willing to bet though that >80% of people, including me, are very happy with it.
Not that there's anything wrong with being vocal if it's a genuine issue :D

Do you play World of Warcraft? It's a known bug with the game (as of last patch, dunno about 2.3 yet), unfortunately it happens to me all the time.

no i dont have WOW installed. what i mean is all the settings turn off and i cant use any of them. even the keyboard shortcuts turn off. does anyone have a fix? which plist stores these settings? maybe its corrupt.

BYKE

Are you happy with anything? All your posts are so negative.

Thats because all my posts relate to one specific issue.
I am ok with the hardware when i have been lucky enough to get a good made mac.
But so far I have owned 4 macs and 2 of those had to be repaired numerous times due to quality issues.

I had very high expectations for Leopard, and they have been exceeded. I would really expect this to be a $1,000 operating system that I would just admire but not be able to cost justify.

I am NOT just impressed that it performs well on my current hardware. I'm amazed that it performs so well on old hardware.

As someone pointed out, it comes at a great time, since the experience is 180 degrees from the experience of those few brave souls who moved to Vista.

I can't recommend Leopard highly enough. Maybe I've been very lucky, maybe the erase and install helped, but I didn't have a single issue with it at 10.5.0. It's genuinely like having a new computer and seems a good bit quicker on my macbook.

Leopard works GREAT for me

I LOVE Leopard. Zero Problems. Tiger was great, but I won't be looking back.

I am also going to go out on a limb here and say that it's probably a safe bet that the VAST MAJORITY are probably VERY content with Leopard. It just so happens that message boards are breeding groung for negativity, and give people a skewed view of the real state of Leopard. The people that are having problems pretty much the only ones motivated to go out and let the world know their displeasure, while the ones who have a fully functioning, happy system are content to just use it and not go tell the world how great their experience has been.

i guess you are one of those unlucky mac users :(

instead of complaining, just go get a machine that you think will make you happier and be done with it.

i know a lot of people happy running their pc at home ... but has linux installed :D

I guess u r just unlucky.. i own 3 macs..i didn't encounter any problem with them yet:eek:

I've got Leopard running on three machines PPC & Intel (CD & C2D) doing a clean install and an archive install on the G5 and I've had zero problems. I don't have a problem with the dock, spaces or stacks. They work for what I want and have them doing. Really it's been a transparent (pardon the pun) upgrade for me.

I wish Time Machine worked over wireless but I'll wait, I'm patient. For the machine that my external is currently plugged into it just works. I've even restored a file or two just to test it. I'm happy. I don't have to th

Back to my mac and the new firewall would be the only things that I am disappointed with. Even so I'd not go back.

Over the moon with it
Can't comment on what my MacBook was like on Tiger as Leopard came preinstalled.
One thing I did notice was that after changing the dock to the smoked S-Curve and then messing this up with another dock changer and going back the original just how horrible the lighter Dock looks, smoked Dock ftw
Go for it, you won't regret it

Despite a few issues I am having I totally love it. I have been using it since the early developer seeds, and back then things were rather bad.

They have a number of kinks to work out, but its not nearly as bad as ... lets say, Vista.

So far I am thrilled with it.

I'll give one example why I like it so much.

I upgraded to Leopard the night it came out. I then connected my WD MyBook drive and did a full Time Machine backup. After that completed successfully, I opened my MBP and swapped out the 100GB OEM drive for my new WD 250GB drive. I then reinstalled Leopard on the new drive, and at the point where the install procedure asked me if I had data from another system/source I wanted to transfer to the [new] drive - and it had "from a Time Machine backup" as one of the options, I selected that. It went absolutely flawlessly and my system is exactly as I had it, with the original disk drive in it.

I am :D
