I love the 4" size. It's perfect -- large enough to read things, play games, type comfortably, etc., but small enough to use with one hand and fit perfectly in a pocket.

But I do realize many people want a larger screen, and marketshare would explode if they offer one. I hope they introduce a 5" iPhone, 4" iPhone mini with the same guts, and a cheaper 4" plastic iPhone C.

But somehow you felt compelled to add to it...........

However, these type of threads pop up every month, and wonder why the question is asked over, and over again (For years). And for what purpose ?

Who cares about a stranger, that absolutely no ones knows, starts a poll about sizes or colors of a phone. I buy for myself, not what others want, or likes/dislikes. ;) The thread is made, than in a few days it disappears, until some other guy that we don't know posts the same question again. Interesting about human behavior.

I've used a massive amount of phones in the past year. Among them, the iPhone 4, 4S, 5, 5S, Galaxy S3, S4, HTC One, and Nexus 5. I wanted a larger screen, but ended up settling on the iPhone 5S for the simple reason that if you have an iPad and can tether, a larger phone is pointless. I found even with the larger phones that I was using my phone more for quickly checking things and iPad for browsing. The larger screen actually ended up becoming more of an annoyance than anything because it was harder to carry around a larger device. Plus typing was slower. The 5S is the perfect size because it's small but good enough for quickly checking things.

If Apple can increase the screen size without significantly increasing the device, I'm all for it. But if the iPhone 6 is the size of the current 5 inch Android phones, that would majorly suck.

The only thing I would say different is that I find the iPhone 4/4S is the perfect size for a smartphone.

I fall into the "smartphone when I have to, tablet for everything thing else" group. But I realize that this is a small group and manufacturers can't cater to small groups like this.

I voted "If they can increase the screen without increasing the device size, I'd love a larger screen", but my real choice would have been make the screen as tall as the one on 4/4S, and then as wide as the phone itself, ie. edge to edge screen. I believe the iPhone 5/5S screen is too tall.

I like the 4" screen size too, just right for 1-handed use and just the right size. I know there's a lot of people who want a larger screened iPhone so hope they produce one - but as long as they also produce a similarly specced 4" version too so those who want a larger screen and those who are happy with the current size are catered for.

You want something like the Note 3 so you don't have to use your iPad mini?
Sorry I am not getting this at all.. if everything you need has it's roll filled by either you iPhone or iPad mini why would you want something inbetween that doesn't fill either role? The screen is still to small to watch a movie on properly, but to large to carry around comfortably and quickly check things on without using 2 hands.

You've definitely misses something. I don't want everything I need fulfilled by 2 devices. I want 1. The note does fill the role of 2 devices on it's own. I have carried it around in my pants pocket, sat with it in my pants... No issues. The only time I ever do anything one handed with my 5S is when I shouldn't be using it at all and that's when I'm driving.

If I could watch movies on the old 3.5" screen iPhones, why is a 5.7" screen too small? If I want to watch movies "properly" I use my big screen tv. A bigger phone would be better for gaming than the 5S or iPad mini. The mini is too big / heavy to hold on to for long periods and the screen size of the 5S is too small. Browsing the web and reading books would be better with a bigger screen than a 3.5 or 4" device.

The goal for me and I'm assuming others, would be to eliminate the need to carry around both an iPad (mini or full size) and a phone.

I currently have both a iPhone 5s and a Galaxy S4, the iPhone beats the GS4 handily in every way except the screen. I love everything about the GS4 screen better, I truly believe 5" is the perfect size and the overall size of the phone really isn't that different. With the iOS swipe front the left to go back it gets rid of the biggest reason to access the top left of the screen (old back button).

IMO, the iPhone 6 should do away with all these letter models (5s, 5c) and just come in three sizes: 4", 5", and 6". Apple offers screen size choices with everything else they sell, why not the iPhone? EVERYBODY HAPPY :):):)

THIS THIS THIS!!! I truly thought the iPad Mini was the device I was waiting for.... until I found it didn't fit in any of my jacket pockets except my big winter coat... It's just a little too big to take everywhere with you but a little too small to be a dedicated home/office device. I find it cumbersome to try and figure out how I'm going to carry it where I'm going if I want to take it. Thats where a 5" iPhone would easily fit in my pocket and be with me everywhere.

I don't mind two devices in my life, but I would rather they be a 5" iPhone that is with me all-day every-day and a iPad Air for around the house and/or office. That way the iPhone is still big enough that I don't feel like everything is squished to fit in the tiny screen, but when I don't need portability the larger iPad Air is available.

I would LOVE a 5-6" iPhone but I'm not holding my breath. I don't know if Apple would want to sell a phone that big and possibly eat into iPad mini sales. As an owner of a mini and 5s, I would sell my mini in a heart beat if I had a 5.3" or bigger phone.

I would argue that a 6" iPhone would push those previously interested in a iPad Mini into a iPad Air which is better for Apple as it costs more. There are more and more people everyday that see a value to having both a phone and a tablet, its all about finding the balance. My perfect balance is a 5" iPhone and a iPad Air whereas I currently have a iPhone 5s and a iPad rMini. Apple would be getting me to buy a more expensive tablet and at least a same if not more expensive phone.

I have a 5s for my business phone and just got a note 3 for private after hours use. Its big, will mainly use it at home don't think i would like to carry it in my pocket all the time. Not sure if i will keep it yet.
If they made the iPhone 6 screen bigger bit kept the phone same size would be good for me.

I don't think you get my point, I find phone screens impossible to watch movies on. Movies are meant for big screen LED TV's with hi quality audio.

I don't watch movies on my 4" iPhone either.

I'm content with the 4in size right now and it fits comfy in any pocket I put it in. With that said, if Apple launches bigger sizes in the future, I'd check them out and see if it still works for me and go from there.

I will say that nothing cracks me up more than seeing a little cutie wearing tight fitting jeans only to have a massive ass phone crammed into her back pocket like a damn walkie talkie. :)

How many thread like this ?

And my answer is always the same: I'd like to have a slightly bigger screen, but not at the cost of an uglier device like many droids out there.
I think at 4.7" there is the sweet spot, with a form factor similar to the Moto X

If anyone has played around with the LG G2 which is close to bezel-less as it comes i'd say that would be the perfect size for an iphone which is 5.2 inches with barely a bezel

That is what I don't want Apple to do.
It's huge and very awkward to use, without a physical button on the front and almost without bezels around the screen.
