Would hate to be that person who loses their $1500 ipx.
Other than preference (including pricing), would there be another reason? This couldn't be farther from the truth, and this is coming from a Plus owner. You get the smaller phone because you prefer the smaller size. Not everyone wants the massive phone that is the Plus.
Because for me personally it is too big and heavy. While I can appreciate it when reading but it is still too large to carry around if you are not a woman with a purse and wish to put it in pants pockets IMHO.why not plus then?
Are features not important as much as your prefered size?Because for me personally it is too big and heavy. While I can appreciate it when reading but it is still too large to carry around if you are not a woman with a purse and wish to put it in pants pockets IMHO.
Just because Apple came out with Face ID doesn't mean the 4th Amendment ceases to exist.I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks Face ID is a horrible idea. You get pulled over and the officer can unlock your phone by just holding it up to your face. I can see this going wrong in so many ways and I’m not going to spend $1,000 on a phone like that. No flipping way.
I’m sticking with my 7+. The 8+ doesn’t really seem different to me other than the processor.

But let me get this right, touch ID opens up to the home screen immediately, but facial recognition still requires a swipe. 8 or 8 plus this side for me please.
and because it's huge....and...? (fill in the blank)Because it's huge ?
The X and the 8 are both mass produced consumer grade electronics that will be sold at Wal Mart to Wal Mart shoppers. Anyone who can afford the 8 can afford the X.This couldn't be farther from the truth, and this is coming from a Plus owner. You get the smaller phone because you prefer the smaller size. TouchID is discrete and quick. I need that. The X is putting me off at least until I can try it in person. But it's not looking too good for apple to get an X in my pocket.

Huge phones are not desirable.
I'm getting the 8. not interested in the X. don't want to deal with the face ID, I get a feeling there's going to be problems with that. the sides of that phone are scratch magnets, and the black bar on top of the screen I know I'll never get used to.
Touch ID:
Laying your finger on the home button unlocks the phone, pressing the button takes you to the home screen.
Face ID:
Looking at the screen unlocks the phone, swiping up from the bottom takes you to the home screen.
it's just preference.
