Your homeowners or renters insurance will cover theft.
Yeah but I'd prefer to save my dealings with them for major loss to my house. Making a rather small claim against my homeowners insurance would put me on their radar in a way I don't like.

Not with mine. USAA will not cover a smartphone. Too many claims

However, I found this from my bank..

If you keep the phone for two years then yeah Maybe it is.

As I don't believe you can transfer applecare from one device to another
You can't transfer from one device to another. But you can cancel 2nd year get half back as long as you have not used it. Or you can transfer to new owner if you sell to phone giving you extra bargaining power when selling.

It was only ever worth it if you broke and fixed your display twice or suffered a major break once. Later models have more expensive screen fixes so it became a benefit if you broke the screen a single time.

If you've never broken your phone then, of course, it was a waste. I'm not in the habit of dropping $1000 purchases on the floor so I don't bother anymore.

I used to have Wells Fargo CC Telephone Protection, but when I switched to Verizon Beyond Unlimited, in order to qualify for $5 monthly discount per line, need to pay them by Bank ACH or debit (not Credit Card).

So it would cost $20 more per month or $240 per year for $600 phone protection - $25 deductible.

THis is getting ridiculous! People need to stop resurrecting ancient posts..... Other forums have a notice that you're posting dead thread.... this forum needs something like that!!!!!
