agree with "disintegration " on Asus made in the past and now very solid PC components. From them together with Gigabyte coming the only mainbords I ever bought (onetime Tyan because of SMP with Pentium4)
And also they were pioneers with Netbooks. All fine and very good. That's why it's so disappointing to see a Me-Too product. They can do better and should not waste their positive reputation.

Warning flags are raised here if a company releases products that can't spell "phone" right.

I realise that most American's can't spell things correctly and have poor grammar. This sends of warning bells, but there is little I can do about it.

agreed

I couldn't agree more. While he may not have Steve Jobs presentation flair or the Jonny Ives polish, it looks like an innovative and useful product (minus the whole windows 8 thing). Was it just me or did it seem like the CEO had a good sense of humor about copying Apple's presentation style - he seemed to be laughing at the parts that were complete copies of a Stevenote.

Wait. So, if a CEO of a company gives a presentation to show off a new product, they are automatically copying Apple? Geez, give the guy a break. Most people on here wouldn't have the stones to go up on stage in front of the world and give a presentation in a non-native language. Be a little more tolerant. And waiting to the end of a presentation to unveil a flagship product is hardly unique to Steve Jobs. That said, I do think that little Igor guy is slightly creepy.

The "behind the scenes" video is not copying either. It seems just like an informative marketing video. Should they have made some cheesy video chock full of special effects and futuristic robots instead?

As for the product, its a great idea. The ability to share internet access between 2 devices is great. If Steve Jobs had thought of this, many of you would be saying buzzwords like "revolutionary" or "game-changing". The fact that I need separate internet access for my iPhone and iPad is idiotic. As for the design of this "PadFone", it doesn't look that hot. Looks clunky. It would have been better to have the phone part attach into a recessed bay, not sticking out,

That guy is awesome. Can Apple buy Asus so he can be CEO after Steve is gone?

Steve Jobs is a great presenter but he doesn't have wizard hands. This guy clearly has magic powers. Steve says the iPad is magical, Asus guy could actually cast a spell on it.

I'm in awe of PadFone.

The WORLD admires Apple

My thoughts, you can copy, and imitate, BUT, there is only one APPLE, OSX, APP Store and Steve Jobs. The ASUS CEO looked almost as stupid as Ballmer, aka Monkey Boy. You can copy Apple, and feed the Lawyers, but you will NEVER be :apple:, you will never have any of it's devoted fans.
:apple:Forever!

The presenter was weird... I wonder how the audience felt lol. Everyone tries to copy apple in someway.

Yeeeeeeeeeah...

...well, good luck with that. If at first you don't succeed, join the failure party with the others. :)
