Will they bring it back this year, when the notch goes away or never?

It all boils down the the 40/80 rule. On notchless phones you know where you are at a glance, on notched phones you've got to swipe. More of a hassle.

percent is ok but what I really want to know is can I finish this netflix movie before the battery goes dead

AND why does it hold at 100 % so long but not 99%

Well no, probably not worth betting on. Per Apples contract agreement when you are employed under them, they cannot frequent tech forums during their employment tenure, and they do have ways of checking to see if the employee is participating in tech sites like this. So I’m going to believe it’s not worth losing someones job over in that regard to discuss a ‘battery percentage’.

Then why does this sites analytics pick up on iOS versions visiting the site that aren’t available (even in beta)? Do you have a source for this?

In return to your question, can you name any specific site analytics? How does that counter what I said about Apple employees allowed to participate on sites like this under contract? (That doesn’t mean they necessarily work for Apple directly, does it?)

Do you have a source for this?

I’m confused, what source are you looking for? The fact that I said the Apple employees are ‘prohibited from participating on rumored tech sites’? That’s common knowledge, and anyone here can attest to what I said that has worked for Apple in the past, it’s verbatim in their guidelines/policy procedures manual, it’s not allowed. Rather they [Employees] participate or not is at their own discretion.

There may also be a difference between not being able to post on a site like this one versus being able to read what others have posted...?

Really bugged me at first

But since I got a complication on my watch that shows both my watch and phone percentage I’m very rarely bothered tbh as a quick glance at my watch tells me what I need to know
