Also, I think every laptop owner in Scrubs owns a MacBook Pro or prior iterations of one, but the Apple logo is typically covered by a Sacred Heart Hospital sticker haha.

Brenda in Six Feet Under used to have this amazing PowerBook where the logo would appear and disappear from scene to scene. Nil points for continuity chaps

Almost every HBO series (that takes place in modern times) had/has apple products. Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc. (I realize those are no longer running but still)
Showtime's "Weeds" has apple stuff placed everywhere too.

Willow from buffy used a white ibook (and she loved google). I forgot what other shows but I remember a point when if a laptop was on TV it was a white mac. In the last few years I noticed alot of sony vaio(sp?). The OS farrel used in die hard 4 seemed to be based on osx. One of the bad guys had an alienware laptop too ^_^

But yeah I don't think theres as many macs on tv as there used to be.

Willow starts off using various old powerbooks, too. It's fun to watch the evolution of laptops through the seasons. Then in Angel, Cordie has a blueberrie ibook.


In Alias, after they moved to the shiny new office in Seasons 4 and 5, suddenly everyone had a MBP with a red sticker over the and spoof-CIA software running on them.

Oh, and Dexter has a MBP. There was one scene where the camera zoomed in so you could just see the screen bezel around the edges. Very trippy watching that on my own MBP.

It's not only House that uses a Mac... I have noticed there are whole bunch of other shows do too like...

Bones, NCIS occasionally. It's probably most of the major FOX tv shows...

Does apple pay these shows or what , i mean the general trend now seems to be , if you want a fashion accessory buy a mac !!

personally i think this undermines the genuine mac buyers who use the things because of osx not because they are the IT things of the moment.

I was wondering if Alton Brown gets paid for it or if he's just a fanboy (I could see either honestly, he does enjoy showing his other hobbies on his show occasionally, like his motorcycle). I have noticed he has apple computers and it almost seems like he has the camera purposely show he's got an apple without him saying anything (cause I know he can't say brand names, he's all the time finding euphanisms when he wants to mention a product but can't).

Fringe and Chuck are another 2 shows with prominent Apple placement. To the OP please quantify what you mean by "chick" crowd?

You may not think it but your posts come accross as elitist snobbery, which is what put me off Apple for many years.
