I actually miss the waiting in line launch day madness. Preordering just isn’t the same.
Not sure what rock you've been living under, but ray tracing for AAA games has been a big thing for some years at this point.
I find it pretty funny the people who queue up, pre order, etc. Most of the time on release day I can skip the queue at the Apple Store, walk into one of the local telcos and buy a handset from their stock without even waiting more than 5 minutes for service.
For iPhone, sure but any games that are likely to get ported from say, the past 3 years on PC will make use of it.It was a new feature for the iPhone 15 Pro/Pm.
The trend is…. The majority of preorders are coming from people who are upgrading from the iPhone 13 and under, the majority of people who upgrade to the 17 will be coming from the 14 and under, etc etc
And there have been few, if any, ports. That was the point of their post. For iPhone, sure but any games that are likely to get ported from say, the past 3 years on PC will make use of it.
Is that the price to sell your soul (re. as they recoup that by selling your personal info, which is worth more to them than the “free” phone you think you’re getting)Have you seen Boost mobile - no trade in - $0/month for the 16 Pro ?
$65/month service.

I did the math, going to switch from TMO to Visible. Is that the price to sell your soul (re. as they recoup that by selling your personal info, which is worth more to them than the “free” phone you think you’re getting)
Apple's own data shows that the super cycles are several orders of magnitude larger than they were when the phrase first started being used. So, yeah...I’d wager there will never be a super cycle again. The market is way more saturated, and sales are less concentrated around launch date.
Who knows? Actually… Apple knows 🤣
They don’t do super cycles anymore. It's an in between year, to be sure. What used to be called an S model, back when Apple marketing was still honest about what they were doing.
iPhone 17 will be the next super cycle.
Some people can't do simple math, 36 x $65 = $2340 + sales tax on base price of iPhone. LolNot much of a deal imo because this very same plan without the phone attached to it is only $25/mo. And it's only $65/mo if you get the base model 128GB Pro and stay on the plan for 3 years… HARD PASS.✋🏼
And with every iPhone needing an appleID to be usable, Tim has hard data on the number of repeat customers.I’d wager there will never be a super cycle again. The market is way more saturated, and sales are less concentrated around launch date.

The price is that for the iPhone Pro you pay $40/month extra compared to the BYOD plan, for 36 months. That’s $1440 in total, for a phone that otherwise only costs $1000 (or less soon at third-party retailers). An incredible deal indeed. Is that the price to sell your soul (re. as they recoup that by selling your personal info, which is worth more to them than the “free” phone you think you’re getting)
Based on anything factual or just an opinion ? 🙂The trend is…. The majority of preorders are coming from people who are upgrading from the iPhone 13 and under, the majority of people who upgrade to the 17 will be coming from the 14 and under, etc etc
Still paying full priceMiddle class public servant government worker here and upgrading from 14 to 16 because Apple Card financing for 24 months at 0% made me....🤣
Which the 15 pro’s will get anywayThe 16 pm is an incremental update from what I see. Software is what will make the 16 but not for months when they release the new features.
What’s the service commitment there? Cell service should be like $25/mo per person (visible is good enough) so that’s a $40/mo iPhone, for how many months?Have you seen Boost mobile - no trade in - $0/month for the 16 Pro ?
$65/month service.
