I don't think so, I will choose Nokia N9, what do you think?

I agree about the N9 being one of the nicest looking phones ever... but its a very subjective thing to hammer down and I'd also have to say the iPhone 4 & Nexus One also have my votes as well.

The iPhone 4's design is very nice yet lacks in some areas of practicality like the antenna and the fact it feels nicer holding the iPhone 3G than the 4. If there was someway to combine the looks of the iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, that would be pretty amazing :apple:

iPhone 4 is the best design ever. I can't imagine that they can build nicer iPhone, but if they redesign it, I believe it will look better. The Nokia N9 has shape of 2gen nano :/

I personally am not much of a design freak just like I am not much of a graphics freak in video games. As long as it is reliable to use, that is what matters most to me. You can change some of the cosmetics anyway. But I can still admire great design when I see one.

For anyone you loves to look at design videos, here is a few that I like...

For a CONSUMER device, iPhone can be one of them. In fact, I think they made the iPhone 4 like fine china. Handle it with much care. It felt like a luxurious $1000+ phone in my hand, but I knew if it dropped in the wrong angle, that glass was going to crack. But again, this is consumer products. For the super, super rich, there are iPhones out there that cost in the millions with diamonds on them. There are many phones that can be customized in the thousands using real gold.

I like that Nokia is stepping up their game when it comes to design and build quality with the N9 since they were getting cheap with the plastic around the N95 era. Alot of Americans don't know this about Nokia since they only assume cheap, plastic phones from them. But outside the USA, Nokia was known to have some very nice phones for the fashionistas and owned Vertu. I was a big fan of the Nokia 6500 Classic, 6500 Slide, Sapphire Arte series, and the Sirocco which was featured in the "Last Night" music video by P. Diddy/Keisha Cole.

The iPhone 4 is pretty well designed from the perspective of looks, but from an industrial design point of view it's not that good. The form has far more emphasis than the function. It's fragile and sharp, not exactly what you'd look for in a phone. Personally I like looks of the HTC Sensation or Titan more (maybe make them a bit thinner though) as far as functionality of design. The iPhone is definitely prettier but looks aren't the only thing to consider.

I don't often complain about this, but I gotta say.....if I wanted to talk about Androids, Sony's, Nokia, etc....I would be on HowardForums....not on MacRumors. What is the obsession with discussing other phones on this forum? Go to a forum that is meant to discuss other hardware, not a forum geared toward the iPhone.

And don't tell me to just ignore the thread, because the title of this thread was misleading.

I still think that this (The G2) is up there with the iPhone 4. And the iPhone 2G.

LOVE the g2. I had a couple of them to resell, and I loved it so much I made it my own phone for a couple months. Not only is the hardware great, but when the keyboard slams down & into place, people are usually impressed by it. The keys are awesome on it, the trackpad works great, and I used to carry it around with keys, change, etc, and there wasn't a single noticeable scratch on the entire phone. The only problem I could find on it was the hinge was quite lose, and the SD card door is so poorly designed that most of the time it's missing.

Personally, I think that the best looking iphone is the iphone 2G. I just unboxed one that I got brand new, and I have to say the metal back looks a lot better than the glass. From the first second you look at it, you can tell that it's a high end phone, and I feel that's been missing ever since the iphone 3g.

I think by far it is, people say they dont like holding it but I dont have that problem, feels comfortable in my hand and I have yet to notice any antenna issues really either guess I just dont pay attention

I honestly hope they keep the glass on both sides it looks amazing, makes me take even better care of it to

Personally, i love the glass design. It really looks stuning.

But like many stated, not practical for everyday use. I think the 2G was a great design in terms of practicallity.

Front and back glass, nevver seen that on a phone... Yes the iphone 4 has the best design for me... I hope the next one comes out with 2 glass again!!

1.iPhone 2G ...elegant fine materials and superb constraction
2.iPhone 4 ....I love it..
3.Nexus S white  sportiness and design (curve glass)

Threads like this keep you from living in an Apple cocoon and not knowing what else is out there in the world.

I wish the N9 the best of luck. It's the most innovative phone I've seen in years. Absolutly gorgeous. They seen to have everything right on this one. This keynote rivals Apple's.

The iPhone 4 is beautiful to look at but awful to hold sans case. The glass back is absurdly slippery and it simply does not feel comfortable in my hand when I'm holding it to my ear. I would never use the iPhone 4 without a case.

Couldn't agree more. But realise this is a subjective thing.

I think the iPhone 4 and Nokia N9 are equal on a design scale. GORGEOUS devices. The BlackBerry 9900/30 is a VERY good looking device as well, especially in person.
