There are 2 different models for a reason. If 20-30 grams excludes you from one get the lighter one. Seems silly to me that this is an issue.

Well it's not a huge issue because it's just a phone at the end of the day. But I just wondering if the weight would be significant enough to notice. I have small hands so phone weight can be an issue for me. Especially while talking on the phone. I get hand cramps from time to time.

The phone is wider, and heavier. If that will cause you to have hand cramps then maybe it's a bad idea. Go to the store and have an extended play with one.

The weight difference is 20 grams. A US nickel weighs 5 grams. Tape 4 of them to your 6+ and then you can feel the approx weight difference. It really isn't that much difference but can be noticeable if your sensitive to it.

When you add the screen protector, the case, it does get bulky, i also have a small piece of meta behind my case in order to attach it to my motorcycle mounting system, and my truck mounting system. So it's pretty heavy, My phone ( unfortunately ) weighs 224 grams :( it's extremely noticeable haha

The general point, I think, is that the 6+ was already a heavy phone. Not heavy as in you need a gym membership, but heavy for a mobile phone. Sure 20g is nothing much but added to 172g it takes things further in the wrong direction. I then add a 30g case which makes my 6S+ pretty darn heavy. I've had a year of adjusting to a heavy phone through 6+ ownership so it is what it is, but coming from an i5 or 5S you sure as heck notice it.

Yes it is. 170gr is the max bearable weight. 200 is just too much.

For a 5.5" phone, anything lesser than 180g is okay. The Huawei Nexus 6P barely passes at 178g. Same metallic exterior. AMOLED screen might be lighter than an LCD one.

In any case, I expect Apple to reduce the weight of the iPhone 7, without compromises in other departments e.g. the battery life. Progress baby.

Also expecting a 5.1 inch iPhone to appease the bunch of 'undecided voters' who aren't sure of going with the 4.7 inch or the 5.5 inch Plus.

It doesn't bother me but I've noticed this has started happening to me since I got the 6s+.

Is it just me who feels the new 6s+ is slightly unbalanced and feels a little top heavy?
(Specifically when texting with one hand or some similar use case)
(When I turn it upside down, the top(near there home button) doesn't give that "heavy" feeling)

It is a negligible increase which won't make any difference for the vast majority of the people who upgrade.

Lol. If I remember from my high school days 30 grams is just over one ounce. I'd say the average person is not going to develop a hernia or any repetitive motion injuries from an ounce of added weight.

When people add cases to phones does it automatically become too heavy? The difference in negligible unless you're an infant.

Something can be comparably heavy to another similar item. You can get heavy shoes, a heavy jacket, a heavy pen etc. It doesn't mean that they're too heavy to lift, just that they're heavy when compared to similar goods. The 6S+ is a heavy mobile phone.

I've been reading a lot of reviews on how the new iPhones feel a bit he heavier. I currently have a 6+ and planning to upgrade to a 6s+ But my only concern is the weight.

Does anyone feel a significant differences in weight between their 6+ and 6s+ and does the extra weight bother you?

I've heard it's more dense. But some people like that. They say it feels more solid in the hand.

I like the extra weight. To me it feel like a more solid phone. I went from a 6+ to the S+ and while I am able to just barely tell the difference I'm perfectly happy with it. People calling on Apple to shrink the bezel need to keep in mind that these phones are full to the edges with hardware so if they shrink the bezel then they'd have to make the phone thicker to accommodate. Personally I'd keep it the way it is, I don't really want a thicker phone.

Yes you're right...but we apply the cases with the similar goods..if we apply a screen protacter and put a case on iphone 6 plus. .it will gain almost 30 to 40 grams...it got more heavier than 6s plus. ..on the other side 6s plus doesn't need any rigid cases like 6 plus because it is more solid and 'bendless'...in the end of the day we get same experience with the 6s plus as 6 plus .if anyone is using the 6 plus and galaxy note series ,he'll be absolutely satisfied with 6s plus.....

Went from 6 to 6S and I can feel the difference. I'd rather the iPhone 6 weight.

I think the 6S+ will be heavy.

Coming from owning the 6+ for over 1.5 years, the extra weight in the 6s+ is very welcome and makes it "sturdier" to me - it is noticeable weight but it is welcome weight coming from the 6+.

If you feel that the phone is about to fall when you hold it with one hand e.g. taking a photo or answering a call, then the phone is poorly designed.

I disagree. It means that people have different size hands and if it feels like it is about to fall then it's not right for his/her hands. Not that it is poorly designed.

In that case since the 5s was awkward for me, big hands, then it's poorly designed?

No one phone will be "the one" for everyone but that does not mean it is poorly designed otherwise all phones are poorly designed.
